Everyone forgotten the January Townsend cash?? 12m? That not been spent? Add that to Pritch and Yedlin plus loan fees for Bentaleb and Fazio...that's pretty much paid for Janssen and wanyama so we already broken even....

Mason, Chadli's income will be profit
For the new stadium :p

Lucky bank manager then!
Because it's too late to buy the players we need. Who said we wouldn't net spend?

Its a bit like eyeing up a girl, who is a 10, across the room and she literally glanced at you for a split second as you were in her direction and you were like woohoooo im in there... you know how it ends but you still think she wants your cock

You pluck up the courage you go upto her cock in hand say hi and she is like yeah right... nah... then some big dude with muscles and shit barely says hi and he is already getting a blowjob right in front of your eyes.

Then youre like meh, her loss, when in reality she is getting a 10in alpha cock who is buying her shit you could only dream of affording while youre wanking away in your bedroom.

Sounds like the voice of experience!

At this rate the stadium will be self-funded.

We need GKN and Zaha for squad rotation isn't the worse. We definetly need 1 more creative player if mason and Chadli are going. If Chadli is going to WBA wonder if this ressurects any move for Berrahino.

Eh, it's what we need, so I'd be more than content.

It's what we did need. And at the point they came in, I'd have settled for them. But if Chadli, Mason, Carrol and N'Jie all go, then we are seriously light on the bench. I've great faith in our youngsters but with prem games and CL to play this year, we will need at least one more senior attacking player and/or Dembele-substitute midfielder to come in as well as GKN.

I'd love Isco, but since Chelsea are so likely to gazump us for a player like that, I am desperately hoping there is someone else on the cards...

The stadium is self funded already. We'll probably activate the loan facility to help pay but we'll have to pay that off eventually. I'd reckon most English club football stadiums are self funded unless you're West Ham and you move into the Olympic Stadium built by the English tax payers.

All this CL cash, tv money, profits already, sponsorship as high as ever...no net spend in last 5 years...money coming soon from naming rights, new sponsors, income from new stadium etc....

All that surely means this stadium is as good as paid for already...

So surely we can match the likes of crystal palace who's record signing beat ours ffs

I thought that finally getting Champions League would cause Spurs to show some guts and pull in that truly top notch player that would really make a true difference in the squad.

Wanyama is solid and helps fortify the DM spot and Janssen looks like a worthy backup for Kane. Neither however are the type of signing that says "we are going for it".

It looks like they will post a profit in the market or at worst break even again. I know there is a stadium to pay for, but with CL, record TV deals, and five plus years of no net spend, when exactly will they "go for it"? Will they ever? What will the excuse be after the stadium is finally built?

I don't think the current roster is good enough to get top four again because others have improved their talent greatly (looking at Man U mainly). Unless there is a major surprise under wraps like Son that comes out of nowhere, there appears to be no one else coming in. Certainly frustrating.

As I said in a consecutive response, I would agree that if Mason and Carroll go that we would need a midfield replacement. However, I actually like Dele Alli in the No 8 role, and it would free up spaces for other players and the young kids (Edwards, Onomah) to get some playing time in the AM positions. We also have Harry Winks who Poch may feel rather comfortable with as the season progresses.

As for Chadli and N'Jie departing, I'm plenty content with GKN filling the need. We're already overloaded with AM's who aren't contributing much, so I'm content. Eriksen, Lamela, Alli, Son, GKN, and Janssen/Kane being occasionally deployed as a duo, with plenty of younguns in the background, is plenty for me.

Sky Sports are now saying that West Brom have agreed £13m fee for Chadli.

Would be better for him, but fuck sake I'm not even that partial to the guy and I'd be galled to see him wearing their shit new crest.

How in 24 hours is it unlikely now? Something must have changed dramatically am gonna hold onto the goat and trix info for now :jimlad:

Possibly doesn't want to go on loan, meaning we actually have to negotiate a transfer fee, which would take several years.

We'll see if you have the same opinion at the end of the season when we've been knocked out of the CL at the group stage and finished 6/7th in the league due to playing a bunch of kids.

I wonder if Marcus Edwards is good enough to go into the first team hence why the ITK and potential incomings has dried up, maybe Pochettino has realised how good the kid is.

No doubt bro. Them kids last year, that youngest team in the league, sure sucked hard last season.

Edit: @sarfy have at that sarcasm meter, love.
