At this point only players you can sign are:

Players who are not wanted by a club - aside from Isco can't think of anyone who fits this and is good enough for us.

Youth players from lower leagues - got enough prospects at club already.

We find player who isn't necessarily available but we pay enough to force club to sell - obviously we're not doing that.

It's over.

where am I ignoring the point of your post? Here's what it said (from start to finish may I add)

You made one point and that's what I responded too by saying that those money bag clubs are our rivals?!

So which bit of the above did I exactly choose to ignore?

Secondly: We are not competing on spreadsheets with other teams, we keep our own club in order, make sure we're sensibly run and live within our means. Weather other clubs overspend or make profit is none of our concern. We don't get a blue Peter badge for being better run than them, it's how we choose to run our club, so how exactly is that naive of me???

I agree with you fella.
I also feel that we did not need to buy as many players as manure and others to keep up
We exceeded our expectations with the set of players we had last season. We need to build on that.
Still hoping that someone special will come in but if not .....

One in a billion shot - Rafael Van der Vaart. ;) The man that single-handedly raised Deadline Day expectations for Spurs fans since "ever".

Thats good news to me, would rather keep the £20+M required and use it when a player of the required quality is available. Sissoko won't improve our first team or bench.

Feel so conned when I take a step back.

We've brought in 3 senior players off the back of our best season in decades in which we achieved CL football - and you could argue not one of would get into our strongest eleven.

Paint it how you want, that's pretty shit.

Won't improve our bench? Do me a favour.

Oh, and save the £20m+ for what? So we can use it make a bid for a player valued by their club at £40m?
