That's not what his wikipeadia, perhaps you see it different to the experts

I won't be surprised to see him line up in the middle with either Dier or Winyama on Saturday, either that or Eriksen will make way if Sissoko starts. depends on how Poch see's those when they return from Internationals
Where does that say he played regularly as a cm2?
The only time he played a deeper role for Toulouse was the very odd occasion when others were injured or suspended, but as I've said, even then it was in a 4141 system.
Even at Newcastle, when played in cm it was invariably a 433 that Pardew played. Not a cm2.
Pochettino may play him as a cm2, he has done with Alli after all, so it won't surprise me, I just don't think he'll be great there, and it would seem odd to me to pay 30m for a player and play him in a position we have others already better suited to.
it might not say they played a 4-2-3-1, but he was the box-to-box player exactly what Dembele can do, and what Alli did is his few apps there. a 4-2-3-1 doesn't restrict a player going over the half way line. yes Poch has played 2 very defensive players so far as the teams and timing have not allowed him to experiment with Winks.
He won't be a regular in that position, he will play it when Dembele is rested or suspended or injured

2008–2013
Following the departure of Emana to Spain, Casanova put Sissoko into the box-to-box midfielder role ahead of the 2008–09 season to accommodate emerging defensive midfielder Étienne Capoue into the starting lineup, as well as Étienne Didot, who arrived fromRennes. The move allowed Sissoko to retain his defensive duties, but also showcase his attacking skills. He began the season featuring primarily as a substitute under Casanova, but by December, Sissoko had become a regular in the starting eleven. On 24 January 2009, he scored his first goal of the season against amateur Alsatian club FCE Schirrhein in an 8–0 thrashing in the Coupe de France. It was a memorable goal with Sissoko running nearly the entire pitch with the ball at his feet, eluding several Schirrhein players, before finishing at the six-yard box.[19][20] Toulouse reached the semi-finals of the competition before losing 2–1 to the eventual winners Guingamp.[21] In the league, Sissoko was a key contributor in helping a refurbished Toulouse side finish 4th in the league, leading to qualification for the newly created UEFA Europa League. He scored his first goal of the league campaign on 7 February in a 2–0 victory over Le Mans.[22] Sissoko also scored goals in victories over Derby de la Garonne rivals Bordeaux and Paris Saint-Germain.[23][24] In total, he made 40 appearances and scored five goals. For his efforts, he was nominated for the UNFP Young Player of the Year, along with teammate Capoue who also had an outstanding season."
There's really no need to build this signing into more than it is. Sissoko is a £20m signing who, in the post-TV deal world, has turned into a £30m one.
In that context, he cost less than Lamela and Soldado, and about the same as Sonny and Paulinho from the pre-deal days. We don't normally freak about about players in that price range; it's not a marquee or statement signing.
A normal, healthy optimism/expectancy/trepidation is fine, just the same as when Sonny arrived, but no need for too much drama.
Harry Kane & Alli looked terrible at the Euros so should we now sell them off?
Definitely a hit.
Hit for me, if Poch can get a consistent tune out of him we've got ourselves a smasher.
Sissoko is our Brexit isn't he.
Proud to be one of the 103 smart ones who said no. The rest of you, how did you not see this coming?

Cant believe I went goat. I hate myself for it
I'm massively on the fence over this one.
At the beginning of the window I said I really didn't want Sissoko or Wijnaldum. I didn't think they performed consistently last season or stepped up when the going got tough.
With Sissoko not sure where he'll play.
But it appears the management want him and that is enough for me.
So I'll support him and believe he can be a success but my head thinks he probably won't be.
