What a performance! From start to finish we were in full 'roids rage mode, pure power, strength and aggression. City just couldn't live with our intensity.

Special shout out to Victor and Sissoko, neither of whom I particularly wanted at spurs, both of whom were fucking beasts today.

for what it's worth, i don't think I've ever seen Dier, as much as I love him, dominate a midfield like Wanyama dd today. I think, contrary to all our expectations, we may have actually bought in an upgrade there, let alone squad cover.

Said it at start of the season. Wanyama was not coming here to be on the bench as dirrs cover like most people thought

So we secure a great result and yet you choose to scroll through pre match posts on the internet to bump them to validate your own opinion. Well done you.

Just a bit of banter mate. I didn't post at all before the game kicked off, I'm not validating anything.

I suppose I posted your comment because you said the team.selection was laughable. Like the manager has no clue what he's doing etc.

Why does it bother you?

You have every right to post negative comments if they represent your views but equally people have every right to call you out on it with the power of hindsight later

Instead of being childish and complaining about people doing that and calling them pathetic just take it like a man, stand by what you said or accept you were wrong and move on

It's only a forum. Don't get so butt hurt if someone calls you out or gives you a negative rating (who cares)

Being childish is bumping posts after the event to validate yourself instead of challenging it at the time.

If people wish to do that, then fine, if needlessly point scoring is there thing good for them, it would just be a shit forum if we all chose to do that.

Unbeaten, 3 goals conceded, new contracts galore, stadium on the rise, CL football at sold out Wembley, great youth coming through, strong bench ...and to think we have already played Liverpool, Everton and Man City. That's 3 of the top 4 (pending the scum result).

Nice international break to get Kane fit and a special mention for the dildo brothers for the laughs and this could be the perfect season!

Not sure what was going on with that penalty....the only sour moment of the game for me. Need to sort that out quickly so that no further trouble comes from it. Also eriksen should be on pen duty or son in this form

I still don't like the team selection, despite the win I still wouldn't want us to play without a striker again for a multitude of reasons. Stating that in no means that I think the manage is clueless.

Apologies for quoting your post in the first place, but if anything your over reaction is a little childish in truth.

But again, sorry.

Wanyama has been immense last few games, but I hardly think now Dier is second choice. Dier is far superior in possession, and at least in games where we have 60+ % possession, he's still the better option. Wanyama is a fantastic destroyer, and worth his weight in gold in tough games like today.

Stop crying, you've made a bit of a tit out yourself, and now there's a bit of banter about it.

Pep Guardiola:

"They were better. We were not in the right positions so congratulations to them.

"The first goal is quite similar to the one we conceded in Glasgow, it is always difficult to recover. We played much better in the last 15 or 20 minutes. We knew they would press us high, we wanted that but they did it better.

"[Losing] It is part of the game, part of our job. I never thought that we would not lose a game, you can't imagine that. It is normal to the process, sometimes it happens and it can help us improve.

"I am not here for the talk around me, I am here to do my job. It is October, you cannot imagine my team is already done. I am new here. So far it has been an amazing performance but we need more, we have to work more, it is what it is.

"At the end of the season you can win and still realise that you are not perfect."

Imagine if that was Mourinho - "For me, they got lucky, all their goals should have been disallowed, the ref was cheating - there is a big conspiracy against my team. But I don't like to complain so I won't say anything"

Didn't see the match (stuck at airport) but I have to say how refreshing it is to listen to a manager who loses, makes no excuses and congratulates the opposition. Top class off the field from Pep, even better from Poch on it.

Stop bitching about it then, it doesn't even matter does it?

It's not childish for people to quote someone after the fact at all. Someone could take exception to something a poster wrote negatively prior the game but not bother challenging it because they know it's just opinion prior to the fact and will only go round in circles

But they have every right to pull someome up later if they feel to and it's childish of you in my opinion to take the low road of calling them pathetic for it instead of just holding your hand up and eating some humble pie or if you still believe you were right continue to argue you point if you feel to

Childish insults like calling people pathetic to deflect from them pulling you are are unnecessary and I don't undertstand why you seem so upset by them calling you out on forum

We've all said silly things, we've all got things wrong and we all will do again. It doesn't matter it's just part of the emotional roller coaster of being a football fan (don't worry if you get a red cross rating from time to time, it isn't worth getting upset over)

Look.....you guys do realise that a striker is only really a name for a player that plays furthest forward in the football team? We could play a 2-8-0 formation for all i care if thats how we play like so.

Stoo getting hung up on formations and striker/ no striker and so on. We have roughly 18 players good enough for the first 11 and each and every game needs a different mixture to get the right result.

Janssen has played alot since kanes injury...infact too much considering the intensity and level of energy required for such a game so i was all for it. In fact my pre game team selection was identical to the team poch named except for no dembele and sissoko in.
Im chuffed to bits, roll on west brom away...a game much more suited to janssen. We have 4 away games in the bounce and then leicester home so tough times to come!
