There's just always goals with this team! up both ends... lucky to still be 1-0 up there!

Whiteman did brilliantly for that 1v1. If you look at the angles I'm not sure the striker could have beaten him even if he'd found the corner.

Better performance today. No shame in losing to this Leverkusen side - they won the German u17 championship last season and that was before signing one of the biggest German talents at that level this summer in Sam Schreck. It's the first two matches which really fucked us.

So what happens if the kids lose all their matches but seniors progress to knock out stages? If the kids carry on in the format the its not very motivational

Some talent in this team in Tangana, KWP and TOB. Unfortunately there are some poor players too, not going to call them out as it's unfair due to them being so young.

Harrison was very isolated. We never really looked like scoring (apart from maybe the last 5 mins in the 90).

Whereas defensively we were very poor (again).

Was good to watch another youth game on TV though!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to see the game, shame about Edwards injury but good to see Whiteman starting in goal. I am not a Glover fan, at all.

Just got round to watching the game. Eerily echoing the senior game later on (or vice versa chronologically speaking I guess).

It was a very decent performance first half, Marsh looks very good, a metronomic little player. Everyone did ok, no other real stand-outs just a generally good, coherent team performance.

Second half all rhythm just seemed to disappear, we became disjointed and they grew better, I still think losing that game was a little harsh based on the 90, an own goal and a very harsh penalty putting a slightly faltering score to the game, but make no mistake, this was a very decent Lverkusen team, very aggressive, pressed well and once they got going played some good stuff.

Unlike our youth teams of late, you could see the continuity of philosophy in their U19's with their first team, or at least it was more evident.

KWP had a decent game overall, Walkes, TOB, Harrison had moments, Tracey and Roles worked hard but didn't really blow me away.

Nope. Monaco were clearly better than us and deserved the 3 points
