As IG says, we're not talking about the contracted players. Your mates kid will be in the community group squads. They help the club fulfil its obligations to grassroots development, the local community as well as bringing any talented local youngsters to the club's attention. A few of our contracted players started off in the community program.

That's what I thought initially. I hadn't heard of elite squad and assumed it was one of our links. Be strange to shit down actual academy teams, though as you say it definitely serves a good purpose

Agreed. Shitting down a team of adults is horrible enough, but my God not the children.

This may have been a repeat but just watched an interesting program on SS1 about out of contract players from the summer just gone. It featured 5 players and one of them was Sonupe. He had been at Spurs since he was 10 and then released at around 20, really is quite difficult for these lads to then find a pro club when they haven't got much experience. He was one of the lucky ones and got a 1 year deal at Northampton after trials with Birmingham,Charlton, Millwall and a few others. Hopefully he's not in the same position next year though, so far he's only played one game I think.

So Edwards was seen training with the first team in Germany but has been left out of the youth league team?

Very strange decision.

If he's not in the u19 squad the only reason can be because he's either picked up a knock or is going to be in the squad tonight. If the latter, at whose expense with Kane the only forward unavailable?

Watching the game on BT, first time I've ever actually watched the youth. Who should I care about / what are they like?

I know the obvious, KWP, Walkes, Harrison

Woo 1-0, great team goal finished off by Jack Roles.

Early impressions that KWP is pretty good like everyone says, no one else really standing out, all play 6-7/10 although Tracey annoys me
