This is the problem with a youung team sometimes - we're not able to solve problems on the ptich the way a side with experienced campaigners would do.

When any team goes toe to toe with us we fold like a deck chair. That is undeniable. A couple of experienced top level players would be a most welcome addition to the squad.

Mcmanaman having an orgasm over this Liverpool performance is making this even more less enjoyable

We were doing so well with 3 at the back. How could Poch possibly think this is a better option? Can't remember the last good performance with this formation.

It's not that when we don't have the personnel for it. It's just the Davies/Son combination, the latter doing so little to track back and help Davies.

They have a 2v 1 situation all the time.

Needs to bring Sissoko on to shore that side up a bit or this could be a rout.

I don't know about anyone else but I honestly wouldn't be distraught to see the back of Son in the summer. I genuinely don't think he has the mentality we are looking for.

He could score two in the second half but this half his performance has been his worst for us.

This is so insane - how is Poch not seeing the double team on Davies?! We have to change formation.

Now that I have had time to analyse this game, I have to agree with the commentators, poor ben davies is being left on his own to look after the left. Nobody is coming to help him.

The other game of the season (along with Stamford Bridge) where I sit slumped in my seat for 90 mins whilst playing with my phone knowing whether we score first or not there is a very good chance of defeat.

Even if things are looking peachy at Anfield all of sudden our players turn retarded and start passing balls back from the halfway line in Walker's case, or Bentaleb turns into the most creative midfielder for Liverpool or our centre half comes on the pitch as a sub and then the next moment mis-controls the ball straight to Suarez.

Also Liverpool love this fixture...probably due to the above but also because they know Coutinho will turn up and be unplayable and even if their out of form striker comes on the pitch for one minute the likelihood is they score the winner.

To be fair the more type the more I find myself getting closer to the knife rack.

I will take a point now!
Hate to bump my own post....but suprise suprise!!!

As poor as we have been it is worth acknowledging that Liverpool and Mane particularly have been sensational

They've forced a lot of our errors with great pressing and they've been lightening fast every time they break

We need to get Son off to protect Davies or bring on Wimmer and try reverting to 3 at the back

Even though we're chasing the game something has to change to stop Davies (who himself is playing poorly) being completely hung out to dry by Son

The set up isn't amazing but individual mistakes led to both goals. Not saying the best erformance is anywhere near good enough but Wanyama giving the ball away for the first then Dier's shocker for the second have changed any plan we had within 15 minutes.

Looking like we enjoyed a night on the lash and only stumbled back in at 3pm.

Liverpool have only done what anyone would've predicted and we've handed things to them on a plate.
