If refs don't start games until they've finished singing, they may have a point.
Well apparently the refs think that the sun shines out of their collective arseholes. The rest of us do not. Surely it's not a PL rule

It's kick off time. The ref has counted the players, who are all lined up. Winks is ready to kick off and the ref is ready with his whistle. But he waits. Then the crowd finishes singing and he blows the whistle and the game starts.

Am I missing something? Can't mickeys watch a game of football and sing at the same time? Perhaps there's a Premier League rule that says that games at Anfield can't start until the crowd has finished its pre-match 'You'll Never Walk Alone'?

It's bollocks. Fuck the singing. Blow the whistle and start the game.

On televised games is not the referees decision when game starts, he gets told via comms from 4th official when Sky say it is OK to start.

In Poch's first season, he gave the 'Kaboul cabal' enough rope to hang themselves, even making Kaboul captain and Ade vice, before unceremoniously dumping them out of the squad. I pray thats what he is doing now; otherwise, he has lost the plot.

Has Poch ever considered that giving Tanguy, Lo Celso and Foyth more minutes might help with their fitness?

Or just more laps of the pitch at the training ground until they can complete the bleep test.

I still can’t get my head around Poch making the same decisions over and over and over and expecting different results. It’s either stubbornness or stupidness. Neither is flattering for him.
Tanguy got 90 on Tuesday did he not?

Id rather a poor defensive effort from Son every game with great attacking effort than average defensive effort from Eriksen and woeful performance going forward. End of the day the game is done, Eriksen being picked today over Ndombele or Lo Celso will be a head scratcher for me for some time
Exactly. How much defending fo Salah and Mane do? Son needs to be on the front foot and ready to counter/attack, we can't just have Kane isolated up front

Disappointing but expected result shame that we wasn't positive enough going forward because when we did they were vulnerable, but didn't start playing until the last 10mins similar to last week what's up with us.
The Broken One decided to go there like a plucky bottom half team and snatch a cheeky point.

Sadly yes I think you have nailed it just wonder how much longer this is set to continue, this is more than just 1/2 potential want away player's this runs deeper.

Agree

When my wife said after 20 minutes that Eriksen can't be asked to stop Robertson why don't we do something, and Poch left him on until it was too late, you have to ask yourself what is Poch upto...

I an one of Poch's loyal vocal fans... But spurs are always my priority, and I am starting to believe that Poch's limitations are there for all to see and we are starting to see the beginning of the end.... Sadly

Does your wife have her coaching badges? Tell her to send her CV to [email protected]

She clearly sees things our manager continuously refuses to.

Thinking about the game and how the teams set up it becomes clear that when the front three are as good as ours (Son, Kane plus Dele or Lamela with Lucas in reserve) we should be playing three in the middle to do the hard work This is what Liverpool do. They don't look for creativity from midfield but rely on the front three plus full backs. The midfield cover for the full backs, win the ball back, press as needed. Perhaps we suffer from having too many quality attacking players feeling a need to give everyone game time. Time to go 4-3-3 and let Son in particular loose because no team can contain him

70% possession, 13 shots on target v 4. 627 passes v 290. Clearances 4 v 29 for us. Right oh
This is the evidence of deterioration of the team. Last season we were the better team in the second half at Anfield. Now though we were second best by some margin.

If we have ambition to be, and to attest to what mostly have think we should be the third best team in the league, we shouldn't be playing for draw against them and Citeh when we could have threatened them.

One big problem is Poch seems incapable of managing the team when momentum starts to change. First time I really saw it was at home in the CL against Juventus. Everyone could see the tide was turning but no tactical changes were made to counter. Yesterday was the same. We were struggling for ball retention and basically passing the ball back as soon as we won the ball. Lo Celso and Ndomeble for Alli and Eriksen seems obvious choices about 5 mins into the second half. It is like he has enabled auto substitutions on set times. I cannot remember the last time he made a substitution before 60 mins.

Unless forced he rarely does. Someone else put it perfectly earlier can't remember which thread, but the best managers make changes at half time or early in the second half based on the flow of the game not on the scoreline.

How many times have we been drawing or winning but playing terribly in the first half and he changes absolutely nothing at half time. Amazing.

One thing I didn't quite understand is that Son had the beating of TAA but second half (or midway through second half) he couldn't get going. So why not bring Lucas on and tell him go at TAA, he was on a yellow and is so suspect in defence. Think others have highlighted in on here before but for as good as Liverpool are, the full backs are the weakest area defensively and its showing this season. Think they have conceded in every home game?

Looking at the table this morning, put me in bad humor. Eight points off 4th spot, seems a very difficult mountain to climb indeed. We would have to go on a great run, and looking at our form at the minute, I just don't see it

We have 28 games left. The change at the top needs to happen now, not in a months time, when the situation will be even more grave. I was always a Poch in man, but when I saw yesterday's team, how we played and how we reacted (didn't) I now know it's time to go. Eriksen is an embarrasent, plain and simple. He could not give a flying fuck about Tottenham. Aurier and Rose are the worst full backs I have seen for a while. Dele was poor yesterday also, even though he put in a good shift Tues last.

I woke today hoping I would see that Poch was gone. Not because I hate him, but for the love and betterment of our beloved club.

Long after these guys are gone, we all will still be supporting THFC and our kids after that, and on and on it goes.

Every game between now and next May are vital. Hopefully we are in better shape then, than we are today

Poch/Danny, do the right thing.

In all likelihood it's too late for this season. 4th place averages about 2 points per game, which would mean we'd need about 2.3 points per game from here on out to make it. That would be better than our best ever PL season when we got to 86 points - we've got to go from the last ten months of being a side in near-relegation form, to a title-challenging side overnight. The only other hope is that it's a low points total this year i.e. at least one of Leicester or Chelsea drop off significantly while both Arsenal and United remain poor, and then we only have to start playing like a Top 4 side ourselves. It's largely out of our hands because we've waited too long - you can't win things in the first ten games, but you can sure as hell lose them.

At least instead of being the nearly men in semi finals/finals they're giving us that feeling most weeks now. That's nice of them.

How's Sonny missed this?
