2 assists in the league.....which is 1 more than Dembele. No way!!! Way.

Dembele like Modric plays the ball before the assist. Essentially he transitions us from defense to attack. Sissoko has been on the wing, his job is mainly to assist (and be the subject of ridicule)

I don't think Sissoko's 2 assists include the deflected cross vs Southampton.
He had a decent game that night, as he did against Man United.

I still think there's a useful player there somewhere.
If he was 20 we'd unanimously vote to give him time.
27 year olds can improve too though imo.

Has it always been this bad? Or is it a confidence thing? Or perhaps we're a team that moves the ball around much quicker than he's used to?
A newCastle supporting mate of mine says he was like this for the entirety of his time there.
A lucky bombing forward run every 3 or 4 games was as good as it gets.
Evidently on their message boards they still can't believe we acturally bought him and for the price.

Everyone looked shit in that side all season apart from 2 games against us where he was motm.

Tis true unfortunately, he did have a good game at whl.
From what I hear though is that his rate of return was pretty consistent over the 3 seasons he was there

I remember on Deadline Day where the pundits on Norwegian TV rated every club's window and downgraded Spurs from a 6/10 to a 4/10 at the last minute purely because we'd signed Sissoko.

Oh, how right they were.

I hope Levy takes a loss on him in the summer and he just leaves. And I never say that about a big signing, not even Soldado.

Yeah, I think it's abundantly clear to even the staunchest of optimists that we were well and truly had by Ashley. The guy doesn't even resemble a footballer.

Don't drag me into this!

God knows who made the call on this! Heaven help us if it was Levy and Poch... ;)

Thought he actually had a decent 10 mins spell during the second half where he was laying the ball off nicely first time and also made a good sliding challenge.

But obviously that should be the bare minimum for a player in our team, so nothing really to shout about.

That bit was great when he was playing like an average footballer.

For me, it's really disappointing as I think there's been far more glimpses of hope for Nkoudou yet he's the one getting the cameo in a match like this as opposed to Sissoko. Granted, Sissoko comes with experience and I'm sure that was the deciding factor, but I'd rather ride with a guy like Nkoudou who looks to have something about him that can change a match than an experienced yet completely inadequate version in Sissoko.
