Lot of idiots in herr tonight. Sorry but it has to be said.

In a cup-game with two teams, one will lose.

To go on about this meaning we will never win anything, and that we don't have the mentality is just utter shit...!

How does mentality prevent matic from scoring that goal?

Get a grip.

Er, it was a great strike, but I'm pretty sure, as good a goal as it was, they weren't awarded four goals for it...

They are just slightly better than us at winning games of football. That's a combination of things, mentality being one of them

So frustrating. Their first three goals all came from set pieces; freekick, penalty and a corner (their first, when we had like 10). fuckers.

Let's just take a moment to think about all this... perhaps we need to lose the battle in order to win the war.

[Hopelessly optimistic but fuck it!]

Chin up lads. We came, we competed we gave our all. Effortwise cant fault the lads. Dont feel like we let outselves down today. We are growing and heading towards bigger things. First 10 mins i was worried that we were bottling it but credit to the players we didnt deserve that. Keep the team together we can win things. COYS
And not to mention it takes mettle to equaliser TWICE in such a huge game

I will probably get a lot of dislikes for this, but if Arsenal goes to the final, I hope they win it. I don't want cheater Chelski to win the double. And I don't want that moron Conte flapping around like an epileptic bird when they win. He's just too much.

Agree with that, but I'll solve that problem by not watching it.

Hate Chelsea, but after Arsenal's season the last thing I want them to do is finish on a high and do something which we rarely do. Actually winning something.

Poch has to take a lot of the blame not just for this game but also all the games in Europe this season for poor choices. Why you would want to play adifferent formation than the one that has been winning us games in the league is beyond me.Why bring on Nkodue when we xould have had another striker on with Jansen. Poch is great with the players and they love him which is great for bonding and it works but he has to be more aware tactiicly to win the big matches and he hasn't shown it yet.
Conte beat him hands down with his tactics today, leaving Hazard and Costa on the bench then bringing them on to win the game.
The other problem is we dion't have enough talent in the squad compared to Chelsea our bench looks pretty thin to theirs.
It was a sad day today when most of us thought that this was going to be our year for silverware but you can come out with all the excuses in the world, crap ref, we had all the possesion etc etc but they put 4 goals past us. Possesion means fuck all if you don't score more goals than the opposition. I also think Lloris has had an indifferent season compared to the last couple of years and was all over the place today.

Dominated but punished by a more experienced and efficient side.

Pochettino, whom I adore btw, made a big mistake playing Son - our least defensively aware player in the squad - in a defensive position. Lloris didn't cover himself in glory either and Dier struggled throughout.

But I can't fault our effort and desire; we deserved so much more. Special mention for Eriksen, who was superb

Very rare I say it but Poch has got to shoulder a lot of the blame unfortunately.

Changed a winning team.
The Son LWB gamble massively back fired.
Got the subs wrong.

We simply don't have the quality in depth, they beat us without starting three first team players.

None of that Chavs squad have signed up to lose a semi-final 4-2.

Thats the difference, rolling over a Bournemouth or a WBA is all well and good but when we are at the business end we are simply not good enough whether that be CL or a Cup semi-final.

Dont agree entirely mate.

Conte went defensive and thats why he dropped costa, who is out of form and hazard, who doesnt defend.

You can also say we had 3 first teamers not starting in rose walker and lamela and a rusty kane.

We will come good and the mentality is there.

What else have to do is not drop our heads and get all depressed and/or angry like last year, we need to use this as motivation and push on to win our remaining 6 games. I truly believe we win them and we win the league. No one said winning the Premier League would be easy so let's turn up and beat the teams we have left!

I love this club and I love our current team and they all, as do we fans, deserve to win something and shut the rest of the idiot opposing fans up! COYS!

Diers pass on the edge of their box cost us the game.
Jesus Christ, we need a pace merchant or two in the summer for this big fucking pitch. We played to feet too much.

Poor old Kane was out of the game for the last 25 or so.
That is when the friggin ball actually gets there. So many hospital balls. Length of grass is not an excuse because we have seen it from the same players all year.

The other load of bollocks i heard was that we have to win something soon. I think weve done so well to break into the title race, along with managing a cup run whilst playing in Europe. The team is young and still can move onto that next level. Just need time a bit of patience and a few decent additions.

Shearer the nine carrot wanker "Chelsea deserved to win". Fucking monosyllabic tosspot. Jenas at least tried to put him right.

Shearer's bollocks argument "you don't win games by possession" is irrelevant. You don't win games by having none of the ball and praying that your only three set pieces and howitzer from 30 yards go in either. Fucking muppet.

How does mentality prevent matic from scoring that goal?

Get a grip.

Three players around Hazard who a) don't stop the pass and then b) none of them even bother to track him as he gets the return . If just one of them does then the goal isn't scored.

At the very top, when it comes to winning things, it's often about the smallest moments and not having lapses in concentration because you get punished. You have to play as near perfectly as possible in all aspects. That's where it was lost today in avoidable moments and lapses contributing to the goals conceded.
