Depressingly predictable from Spurs. It never changes with this club and any Spurs fan who says otherwise is living in a dream world. Every year we are the nearly men. The guys that look good promising so much but falling short at the last hurdle. We lose the important games that really matter and nothing changes. I am devastated.

Surely after losing 7 semi finals in a row we have to stop blaming "the rub of the green" at some point?
Portsmouth was nothing but rub of the green! Dawson falling over the bad pitch, good equaliser disallowed, plus more. Today was down to our mistakes.

Being disappointed but in the thick of it at the pointy end of the season .... We've come a long way. It's not all bad!

The decision to start Son cost us. We couldn't score when on top, particularly at 2-2. When they got their first corner you just knew they would score.

We used to be a 'nearly' team.
These days we are a 'nearer' team.
We're not there yet but we're inching our way there.
Lots of positives to see this season and the coming ones ahead.

Poch will not allow the heads to drop as we've still got the league placings to fight for.

So how would you defend their goals?

2 lucky strikes, one wrong penalty and a direct freekick.

Not to be rude, but that was insanely lucky for them to Get 4 goals.

Son laid down and said 'crack on Victor, have yourself a pen'
Wall was weak and so was Hugo on the free kick. At least make them score something exceptional.
First corner, don't defend it properly initially then Hazard has all the time in the world, alone, to swing a leg at it.
Matic? Pan, I'll give you that. Donkey prick swung a foot at it and killed the game.

Us having 11 corners without creating a thing and then conceding from their first one sums us up.

This bit was bullshit:

"Chokers!!"
"People can neg you but I dunno what else that is. Played them off the park and lost by 2 goals."

We did. That's a fact too

You can disagree with someone else's view of chokers if you like. I'd say that 7 game record was the dictionary definition tho

To choke - to consistently fail when you should realistically succeed

Guys, couldn't get to watch most of the game but looking at that line up, seemed very strange to me but by all accounts we played well. So was Son actually playing left wing back or was Vertonghen at left back? Either way, seems like a very strange time to me for Poch to start tinkering with players in unfamiliar positions.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, did Poch shoot us in the foot with his team selection by trying to fit Son, Wanyama, and Dier all in the team? I guess it's easy to say in hindsight but would like to know what people think.

Chin up lads. We came, we competed we gave our all. Effortwise cant fault the lads. Dont feel like we let outselves down today. We are growing and heading towards bigger things. First 10 mins i was worried that we were bottling it but credit to the players we didnt deserve that. Keep the team together we can win things. COYS

We conceded a goal, which ultimately cost us

surely we can't compare this semi and this team to the others unless we are making sweeping generalizations

They won't avoid comparisons to previous failures until they stop failing. Its not just cup semis it's almost any big game we are faced with. Like I said I'm just angry not really thinking overly straight.

Cannot believe what the fuck I've just seen. The best team lost by far.. We're always on the end of this bull shit aren't we. Spursy,

Disagree. Chelsea deserved to win. We made horrific errors and they duly punished us. They had a world class player on the bench and he won the game for them. We had nothing in reserve.

Dominating the game is all well and good, but the actual chances we created weren't clear cut (other than the second goal) and that's because Chelsea defended far better than we did.

Tough to take, but the result was not misfortune. We need to learn from our mistakes.

Credit where it's due; the Chavs are fucking efficient. It was a penalty all day btw.

Not sure how we lost that game but it was another crunch encounter where Hugo forgot to put his gloves on.

Ref was shite. Again.

Agree on Hugo unfortunately. Arsenal home last season, City away this, and today. Does cost a goal in the big games.

Proud of the team and the manager. Could be better in deciding Son position at LWB, but coming out 2nd half and scored the equaliser early no doubt was surely a great talking by Poch.. Kudos on that, just hope more could have appreciated that.

Those scums were everywhere a mess since, we were on top but just couldn't add a third.. Again, getting away with murder countless times with no warnings from the ref only got them more motivated than us.. You know the feeling of injustice?? To think Dele even apologised and acknowledge the slight kick from behind on Moses and got booked summed it up.. The bigger authority just controlled over the incessant possession, and the momentum just swung to their favour.. Referee always influenced the game; today Atkinson that shit was never giving us motivation at all...

Hazard was not that great (Willian was better today IMHO) until he scored the decisive 3rd.. defensively that was the most disappointing part of the game when no one marked this shit fucker and allow him to find the corner.. Clinical yes, lucky, yes. First corner and a goal.. Matic's strike should have cannon off the bar, which always happened to us, but it just sailed in.. That was illustrated by Kane's freekick that was back-spun to roll back to Courtois's hand. Who can believe such tough luck?

The better team lost; I still think we are better.. Just imagine if those scums got those goals and decisions of what we gotten instead, you can be sure 80+ minutes onwards will be a war zone.. While the lads tried everything hoping to relive the Swansea moment. I am just glad they tried...

Meanwhile those filthy little chelscum jammy twats can fuck off soon, hoping they will get the bad luck they deserved and fail in the run-in.. It was not today, but they will be playing back.. It is accumulating..
