So you wouldn't take hazard? That's nonsense.

I think he practically went on strike last season under Mourinho, as did most of the Chelsea team. That's the kind of shite attitude we've only just managed to purge from the club under Pochettino after years of it being our undoing, and irrespective of ability (which of course Hazard has in spades) it's not one I ever want to see creep back into our playing squad.

Of course, there was more to it that that - with Hazard "allegedly" having an affair with the doctor, which is what irked Jose so much, and his abuse of her sparking the mutiny.

Rose, Vertonghen 2014 etc...
I think they were valid criticisms at the time.
I think it would be most unwise to ignore concerns about his attitude. We were stung badly with Adebayor so we should have learnt from that.

There is really nothing to suggest Mahrez is anything like Adebayor though. He, like many of the Leicester players struggled to come to terms with the "what happened next" part of their "fairytale". Obviously the difficulties with Ranieri and the dressing room didn't help. He's also had to come to terms with teams doubling up on him, and trying to stop him play.

He's had one good season his entire career. He could barely muster a goal in Ligue 2 in France.

Exactly. He had a season-long purple-patch, but does that justify a £40m price tag?

We can't afford to make signings like that - though we could, just about I think, splash £40m on one player.

I get you can have a purple patch but for a whole season? He sadly has experience in how to cross the line and be a champion in the premier league

I think there's a lot of players who could come to Spurs these days providing they put the work in and really improve such is the mentality and direction at the club. I don't think we can really have too much concerns over who we sign nowadays I mean if they have a questionable mentality I'm 100% confident that Poch can turn that around.

Don't mention Sissoko please. :D

He was player of the year mate, that's not a purple patch...that suggests there's a player in there, also he was brilliant in the latter part of the season in 2014/15

Was he? He scored 2 goals from Jan to the end of the season.
