Can't bottle something you never led.

The harder you lap it up, the more it becomes a thing.

Starting to feel in the last few games that Poch has fallen into the trap of trying to shoehorn Dier, Wanyama and Son into the team, and it certainly cost us vs Chelsea and today. There's no harm holding Son back as an impact sub and going to the 3-4-3 for example, I personally think that's our best wall-breaker despite fewer attackers.

I'm not having the suggestion about us bottling it the first time it mattered. Surely that could have been any of the numerous wins after Palace beat Chelsea, including a massive NLD straight after Chelsea got a huge win at Everton.

Anyone who doesn't see this team is on an upward trajectory is blind. Best league performance in the PL era, in one where we have had plenty of injuries in a relatively small CL playing squad.

We were 6th in line for every trophy at the start of the season, don't let the spiel from opposition fans about it meaning nothing without silverware at all affect you, that's all they've got to beat us with now, 'haha you didn't win the league'. That attitude suggests they think our team is superior to theirs by that logic. Give this team next season before hanging that millstone on them IMHO, we have only truly established ourselves now (with the massive but achieveable caveat that we have a strong transfer window).

Just a quick observation. Before the game kicked off Kane was just standing all alone in the tunnel. The team didn't all come out together which I find a bit strange. Maybe they weren't as "on it" from the start as they should have been.

Top two places aren't in the bag yet so we've got to sort ourselves out pretty quickly.
I noticed that too.. The lads were not as 'one' as what they were previously.. Hope Poch can get the team stronger in spirits in our next game.

The more you repeat it, buy into it the larger it becomes.

Right, but who's buying into it here? My point is that it's beyond our control now.

After years of genuinely bottling it, the whole football community has us pegged as legends, so people, being the lazy unimaginative dolts that they generally are, will wheel out the 'Spuds bottled it again lol' jokes even when that isn't what happened at all.

Very proud of the team this season and whilst last night was hard to swallow, we have to accept that we were outfought.

It doesn't happen very often and that's very much to our credit, but when it happens, you sometimes just have applaud the opposition for their determination and tactics.

Last night it worked for west ham and from a pure football sense, fair play.

Teeth well and truly gritted though. Grrr.

I didn't realise we had bottled it in years past either.

Someone listens to the media and other teams dolts too much me thinks.

Lol me neither, never liked that bit. Guitar roles are shared, as with vocals, so there's no "lead" as such. She's the first singer in the song, the one with the nose ring. Tonight she just did a little solo gig. So glad I went instead of being glued to the tv at home. Unfortunately it was on the tv in the next room and I was tempted in once or twice.
Having said that about the video, it pretty much summed up the match.

It's bollocks as is the trope that we fell away due to the training regimen. We fell away, because we expended all our mental energy in trying to catch Leicester and we had already achieved the target of Champions League.

Funny that a team that sells all its best players all the time competes for the league title two years on the trot with a bunch of bottle jobs ... You couldn't make it up and get paid to make it up ...

Forgetting the 5-1 to an already relegated Newcastle so quickly?

Denial does us no favours. We have a history of falling short when it matters. I don't think that applies to this season but our history will always be used against us by the media and rival fans.

I was upset with that result but West Brom was the game that stuffed us last year.

Media narritives and other teams dolts shouldn't figure with what we see with our own two eyes. Labelling it something it isn't then continuing to label it isn't the way to go about it either.
