Will create a poll based on the goals that get mentioned most in the thread.

The two best that I was lucky enough to see live were Danny Rose and Harry Kane scoring in the NLD. Find it hard to call a winner from the two. This is assuming Sissoko doesn't run from his own half and do a Maradona against Man Utd this weekend.

118 years worth of history, should be plenty of competition for this one. Videos most welcome.

So many over the years. Rose versus the scum is up there, as is Popescu's versus the scum (the first NLD I ever saw us win in the flesh).
Steve Carr versus United
Robbo v Watford
Keano's equaliser in the 4-4 draw with Chelscum.
VDV versus the scum (possible hand ball shout making it even sweeter)

*edit - I've picked my favourites as opposed to what I would deem to be the best so my decisions are tinged with sentiment!

Danny Rose. Just because I was there, we beat the scum and I lost my voice shouting at Judas before the match even started.

Never saw it but a lot of the old timers say Greaves' s goal agains Leicester was fantastic. For me 3 Hoddle goals stand out - the two volleys against Forest and Man U and one that wasn't televised in the FA Cup in the 77/78 season against Bolton - on the right hand side 35 yards from goal near the touchline with the outside of his right foot - unbelievable !

If we're basing it on a pure goal, rather than occasions, I'd say Lamela's rabona was one where I genuinely couldn't believe what I saw. Everyone was stunned at the time.

One of my personal favourites that I don't thnk gets much recognition is Sigurdsson's in against Hull in League Cup. Let out an involuntary scream it was so good.

Yeh Lamela's was insane. if Dele Alli's goal against Palace was at home that would have been one of the best of all time. In fact Dele's goal was the best goal I saw anywhere that year from any player, shame.

Spot on! Hats off to you sir.

They were genuinely breathtakingly spectacular, all the more so because they were not the product of good luck and just catching the ball perfectly on a one-off ocassion, but of the supreme skill and control of a true master.

In my time (98 onwards) Bale, Ginola and Keane have all scored some beautiful goals at the Lane. I think the Keane 'head flick' goal v Blackburn might've been his best.
