Basically, a great performance that for a change was enjoyable to watch.

we need a new gk, 1 x rb, 2 x cb, to no sort out the defence.

love diers attitude but he’s just not good enough.

lloris, Doherty, aurier, dier, Toby, Sanchez and Davies need moving on.

new gk (Pope/maignan/Henderson)

new rb (Aaron’s, lamptey)

2 x new cbs (Sergio Ramos, Jonathan Tah, Botman, Ben White, Skriniar) supported by tanganga and Rodon.

bring skipp in to replace winks, sell sissokoand replace with maybe ward prowse.

sell bergwyjn, lamela and moura.

sign Leon Bailey.

then, we will have ayounger squad, with more potential,

I haven’t enjoyed a lot of mourinho me football but he needs backing in the transfer market, especially defensively.

then he can be judged.

If it doesn’t work out, then at least someone like nagelsmann or Ragnick can work with a younger squad.

Re Vinicius

Not getting the "he stole/nicked Scarlett's goal."

Opportunity presented itself, he took it. I'm certainly not going down the path of who's entitled to shoot when we score.

First time I enjoyed watching us in ages.

Loads of really good performances including Dele, Bale, Vinny and Coco who I though was amazing.

Absolute toilet opposition so I'll temper expectations.

The real game comes Sunday. Let's get our season back on track. COYS.

No can’t rule him out at all, it’s just he’s making his debut at 20 and looks raw, so the odds are stacked against him. As it is for all youngsters to be fair. Similarly, it’s rare for an academy drop out from another top club to make it when moving sideways if you like, but Stewart did alright at Liverpool for example. But absolutely could make it, I also felt that you could see strengths in regards to his running.

You've mentioned the fact that he's 20 & looks too raw etc to make it at the required level we'd need him to be at. That may be fair comment, but although I know it's a different position, a certain Didier Drogba was unbelievably raw & being farmed out on loan at places like Le Man's (Div 2) and Guingamp at the same age, and didn't even sign his first professional until he turned 21.

My point? I don't really know. I'm just saying that the age of a player shouldn't be the be all and end all.

Yeah absolutely. I just don't see it as likely, it's possible. Mind, if a 20 year old Loanie was playing games in the championship, I'd believe them to have a better chance than most at making it at Tottenham. Thing is, most of our under 23 team and under 18s are likely to be playing non-league in 10 years time. Becoming a pro-footballer is difficult at any level, and maintaining yourself there, even harder.

It's important to state that when I express doubts that I am not convinced he'd make it, I'm not trying to say he won't, it's just more unlikely than likely for any player to make it here from the academy. It's just not getting excited about him, when it's much more likely, for say Nile John, to make it. Simply because he has 3 years on him, and is on a different developmental stage, and tbh it's actually not at all fair to judge a player on their first 20 minutes of football.

Generally hate the Europa but games like that are good fun to watch.

No huge pressure, played professionally, some cracking finishes and a few debuts at the end to top it off.

I agree. Maybe the players could do with a few games under less pressure. They need to relax and as Poch, during his time here, said “play with a smile on their faces”. Do that and no doubt their performances may improve.

It ought to be noted that Doherty, Hojbjerg and Dele are one card away from a one match suspension.
