Yup, from the BBC

Tottenham 4-0 Wolfsberger (Agg: 8-1)
Aged 16 years and 337 days, Tottenham's Dane Scarlett is the first 16-year-old to assist a Europa League goal since Kylian Mbappe in December 2015 for Monaco against Tottenham.
??

Is it time to say we have the new Mbappe?? I sink so, I sink so ? ?
OT, but I'm more amazed that Mbappe is only 22 now when he's already so good. Imagine 10 more years for him to grow what would he become...

Yeah thats what youth players always did under Poch. train with the first team and never play. :D
True  But both have been in our squads at times. Just hoping that Cirkin can get a look in soon as I'm curious about him as a player. Davies and Doherty certainly didn't convince me today so any fullback with promise in our ranks has my attention :D

Well, Benfica are getting hammered at the moment and are in the middle of a crisis. There's a high chance they will have a fire sale this year as they need to bring in a new generation of players, so perhaps they will be happy to let him go for 20m or so.

20 million we should buy.

Not too sure about Lavinier. He is not 17 anymore, definitley was nervous as fck. Would need a League 1 loan next season, but he will have it hard to kick on here. Bit like Marsh, Georgiou etc. . Not bad but not the level recquired I think.
I remember comments like that being made about a certain England Captain when he first started cutting his teeth.

Never say never.

No can’t rule him out at all, it’s just he’s making his debut at 20 and looks raw, so the odds are stacked against him. As it is for all youngsters to be fair. Similarly, it’s rare for an academy drop out from another top club to make it when moving sideways if you like, but Stewart did alright at Liverpool for example. But absolutely could make it, I also felt that you could see strengths in regards to his running.

Definitely valid points but our coaching staff seems to see something there so I'm curious and hopeful. Like I said, he looked very raw the first few minutes but I felt that he almost became a different player the longer the game went on going from some wayward passing and poor decisions to some great give and go with Bale for example. And while probably slightly hyperbolic, he didn't look much more out of place than Doherty.

Don't care if this was a below par Austrian team, that was a beautiful watch and it was great to see the attitude and sharpness in some of our more criticized players like Alli (Easily MOTM) and Bale.

Lavinier had some shaky moments the first few minutes but definitely improved as the game went on, Nile has a beautiful touch and Scarlett truly looks like an exciting prospect. Let's continue to build on this! COYS

add to that Lamela - commentator mentioned him specifically that despite the tie being a done deal, was putting in 110%

Completely forgot about him. If not for Dele racking up the points I think Lamela would definitely have a shout for MOTM. He gave it all on the pitch and played some great football today. Definitely another positive!

I'm hesitant to give too much credit for the progressive play. Wolfsberg play an attractive, but ultimately suicidal game, because they press and leave space, without having the calibre of player to get away with it. Once we deal with their press, there is acreage in midfield for all our players and plenty of time to ping the ball about without being smothered, the way Premiership sides can clutter and clog up play.

Against Burnley and Palace, no matter whom we play in midfield, it will look very different.
Absolutely. You can’t draw too many conclusions from this kind of game.

I fully expected a comfortable win both games knowing the exciting but open way these Austrian teams play. Don’t get me wrong, they can give you a bloody nose if you aren’t careful but, let’s just say there aren’t many clean sheets in Austria. Wolfsberger had an exceptional season last year, but they are an upper midtable team, who have conceded 30 goals in 18 games domestically.

LASK, on the other hand, expect to be pushing Salzburg for the title, and are actually a team that can cause you serious trouble, but we never looked like losing to them, even if we drew 3-3 away from home. So it would be more surprising if we haden’t won by a considerable margin if I’m honest.

Never say never.

Still Kane was 17 when he got his first pro games as he always was rated highly. Of course never say never, there are late bloomers, some who just need a bit of luck, but it would certainly surprise me with Lavinier. Good luck to the lad.

Yes, though it’s worth noting that there are many reasons to develop young players that go beyond readying them for the first team. Taking him has very little risk. At his age he should be pushing to be around the fringes of the first team, though obviously late developers do exist. I just see it as unlikely, I’m not excited about him, let’s put it that way. But I am absolutely on his side and hope he can develop a good career in the game here or elsewhere.

Does Lavinier look a bit like Gedson to anyone else? I wonder if the time Gedson played at right back in pre-season it was actually Lavinier and that's why he played well.

With all these youngsters coming through, I am wondering where will Troy Parrot fit in?
If he’s good enough he fits in. Parrott has a lot of developing yet to do based on his loan spells, and that’s fine, can actually help development if taken positively. For when he gets back, a bit of competition at that level is never a bad thing.

Well Troy will need a proper loan next season I think so why not keep Dane with the first team squad and then the year after start looking at loans

The way Dane is going we might not need to look at loans ?
