Wonder if we'll ever see a full academy line up in the Prem
Entire midfield and attack are among the absolute best in their age group for England.

Shashoua * Kane * Edwards

Winks * Onomah
Oakley-Boothe

Brown * Carter-Vickers * Eyoma * Walker-Peters

McGee

I don't know. I still really rate Roberts. And where people say there is no value in the market, if we didn't get Lemar , if we could get Roberts for anything under 20m considering he was bought for 12m, I think he'd be ready to step into the PL now and do damage. I'd have him over N'Koudou for example and I think he'd do a better job. Think it'd be a really shrewd signing. The fact he has played in some league football helps the case. Would rather him than Dembele from there.
How's he done at Celtic has anyone watched him that much

Not sure if it's a coincedence that TOB and onomah look like dembele clones or if they e really modelled themselves on him.I think amongst players dembele is rated our most gifted player. And a lot seem in awe of him. When I was kid all my cousins were much older than me ,and one cousin especially I really used to try and emulate when we kicked a ball around on a Sunday.I know it's a different level but I think the principle is the same.If theres someone you really look up to as a kid you almost try to become them.

yep they get to watch and test themselves against the standard.

Everybody in our team is pretty much the best or next best in their position. fantastic experience for anybody coming through

This has been my feedback don't get the negativity on him,

who's been negative?

i think he's decent but personally i wouldn't want him as i just don't think we're in a position as a club to give both he and edwards the development pathway they need.

My Celtic mates love him, they really really rate him. He's looked good everytime I've seen him play for them

Scott Sinclair looks like Aubameyang for Celtic, it's really easy to look like a star when you play for a decent team in an absolute dog turd league.

Anyway, I haven't said he is decent or doesn't have potential, just that he isn't good enough to challenge for a place in the 1st 11 of a PL team challenging for the title and we don't need potential, we have enough in our youth ranks in Edwards and Shashoua, so pointless buying him and as @Blake Griffin said, I don't think we have the capacity (available game time etc) to develop both Roberts and Edwards to get them to reach their absolute potential.

understood but wanyama and Virgil were at Celtic so doesn't mean you can't be good just because you play in SPL. One thing I will say is currently Roberts looked stronger than Edwards in those clips against seniors. I do hope that Edwards makes it

I think he would be better of the bench than Sissoko or GKN and we need viable options that can come in and offer something else. I know he has pace, creativity and dribbling ability, things that Poch is looking for in attacking mids. I can imagine Poch can definitely help improve his defensive work rate. Plus it would be fun to see Roberts and Edwards playing on the same team.
Better than GKN and Sissoko isn't really the bar we should be setting.

Our reality is we need options off the bench that are better than our current ones. Your comment is confusing it's as if you expect our bench to better then our starting 11?

If you think the gulf between our starting XI and GKN/Sissoko is small then sure maybe you'd have a point, but I think it's pretty obvious what I'm saying. A lot of players may check the box that they are better than Sissoko and GKN but that doesn't mean that they are automatically the quality we should be aiming for. Nor does it mean that they're suddenly better than our starting eleven which is the strange logical leap you took.

I don't think he would be much better at the moment TBH. He doesn't have a lot of pace, he has decent acceleration and quick feet though.

It would be more fun to see Edwards and Shashoua.

Any signings we make need to be able to have an instant impact IMO. We already have Eriksen, Alli, Son, Lamela & Edwards (assuming we get rid of Sissoko and GKN, which I hope we do), so only have room for 1 signing.

Definitely, my only concern with Edwards is the fact that every time a space opens and we can possibly slot him on the bench for some game time, he's injured. It's happened twice this season where the conditions looked prime for Edwards to get some minutes and we find out he's hurt, this might be the one thing that delays how soon we include him in the plans.

i don't see why that's a concern going forward though. it's not like he has a history of injury problems, he just got one bad injury that kept him out for a while and then a minor knock more recently - i doubt he'd have been involved had he been fit anyway due to his contract situation .. that's the real concern.
