Maybe so mate the lack of itk is slightly concerning but I'm sure the club are busy behind the scenes.
Look at last summers great window, we singed Wanyama well known to Poch and greatly improved our team, we also signed.........................and they too have been a tremendous investment.

Well we need to move on from the Lemar or a player like Lemar shouts now...seeing as we're going to struggle to find someone like him or nearly as good as him, what we're in desperate need of is pace and Gray has that in abundance.
So does Nkoudou.

Gray and Lemar are completely different players. Lemar isn't a typical pacy winger, he's more of a playmaker. He's probably more similar to Eriksen or Lamela than someone like Nkoudou.
Mahrez then? Not heard much about him since he said he wanted to leave.

TBH all the players we are looking at for the most part are a certain age bar perhaps one or two.

Sticking to the blue print it seems.

We don't want him apparently and he'd cost about £40m anyway.
We don't want him now, but when all our main priorities move elsewhere we'll move into the Rasiak/Sissoko/Frazier Campbell stage of the transfer window. He's a lot better than any of them to be fair.

If we spend £22m on Demarai Gray (we won't) as our key attacking signing, I think I'll cry.

I think our key attacking signing will be Barkey in that case but £22m is probably the going rate for a player like Gray, I'd rather we had aquired Zaha personally.

Very disappointed obviously but they are going to be losing Sanchez and strengthening with Lemar and Lacazette, so look at it this way.

Kane > Lacazette
Alli and Eriksen > Lemar

We're still stronger.

I'm confused about our transfer plans tbh. I'm not sure if we want a CAM and a RM, or a CM and RM. Or a DM and a CAM. Not as clear as previous windows.

I love lemar as a player (posted how excited I was about this link a few days back) and am not gonna do that sour grapes shit and pretend I think he's bad now that he's going to arsenal. Great signing for them.

BUT...at the end of the day I have a ton of faith in our guys. This does nothing to change the fact that arsenal are SOFT. I look forward to big Vic, mousa and co. knocking lemar off the ball twice a year and to our whole squad continuing to demonstrate why he made a silly choice. I could care less who they sign at the end of the day. Finally I feel our squad has earned me genuinely being able to say that. COYS

we should be adding to our squad from a position of strength... our transfer policy has been a shambles Levy needs to listen to our scouts and stop dithering and going for the cheaper option or doing panic deadline day deals.

I agree, but it's easier said than done. We arguably had the best attacking 4 in the league last season (Eriksen, Alli, Kane, Son), Lemar may of wanted assurances that he'd be a guaranteed starter. Any player we bring in is going to have a tough ask to dislodge one of them.

As proved in the past the most expensive option isn't always the right one, and i trust Poch/Levy to make the right call regarding any potential incomings.

Yeah but you all knew this anyway...you know that we're always going ot find it difficult to aquire players because we don't pay top dollar so why is anyone surprised?

It's almost lke you think we're not geting deals done on purpose.

The thing is as Spurs we always expect the same

But ffs ! We finished 3rd last year 2nd this. Why shouldn't we be signing these players have sadly been dismissed by the itk???

It will be very frustrating come august and not added the 2-3 top quality players we need to progress as the others will do. To stay in around title challengers.

It's still early days but we need to be aiming high, no more n'kouda 'a njie, stanbouli types we need quality.
