Why? 6m is a fair chunk of a first payment for somebody like Koulibaly (as an example). It's also half of Mourinho salary.

With high buyout clause when he will be only back-up. I don't see any good things with that deal if will happen

First half of this vid from his monaco days he looks awful. 2nd half is better. Seems like his usefulness would be his set piece ability (corners particularly). Funny, I always thought he was better than what this video shows - aimless runs and crosses that find no one. Maybe he's developed a lot since? BUt then why are Atletico getting rid?

£13 million for Lo Celso...

That was an arrangement that protected Betis from having to pay a large chunk of money to PSG. The loan fee also covers part of Lo Celso's permanent fee to us. It's possible that the same might apply to Lemar but I don't see how it really benefits anyone.

I would like to bring him in on loan. We are a bit stretched for left wing players at the moment.

Son will be required to play up top with Kane's injury and Sessegnon is needed at left back with Davies and Rose injury.

Lucas was gash on the left, so there is a spot available.

His best position is LW and we have Son there plus he regressed with injuries. GLC and Lamela should get more minutes in AMC and RW so we don't really need him.

Dan KP reports we are monitoring the situation
We're always monitoring, evaluating or considering bids for these types of players, or sending out scouts to watch players like Zaha that we already know about!

I see some reports on Twitter that we had a bid rejected for Lemar. The quote is: nowhere near the valuation
