I do hope we can watch football easier online by then. Theres no real need for Sky, Virgin or BT anymore. Would love Amazon, Netflix etc to get the rights and provide PL football on any platform from anywhere.

I've been supporting Spurs since 1959, but I'll reconsider my position if the club is taken over by any American , oil sheik , or Russian mafia.

Good then fuck off mate!!!!!!! I have been supporting Spurs all my life and I am 32. Im sick to death of us not winning anything season after season so if it means the only way we can be successful is by having an oil tycoon then so bloody be it. With our new stadium, we are going to be up there but we need good solid investment and i want to see us buy top quality players so we can push on that extra level to win the league

I know that is why I put the word "European" at the front.
Ok - you don't need to buy Spurs to get a "European" NFL team.

NFL owners rarely pay for, or own a stadium - much cheaper to lease. If a group wanted to own a European NFL team, they would either buy an exiting team and re-locate to London - leasing New White Hart Lane, or the NFL would expand, and grant a new franchise to someone - who would lease New White Hart Lane.

To put it simply, the guy is a genius. He would view us like a project than a business and would constantly want to improve us without sucking money out constantly because he knows what it takes to make something a success. My doubt I have is im not sure how much he knows of the EPL but to be honest I think it's a risk worth taking having heard and read so much about him.

Newflash: Our owner fucked off out of Europe for the Carribean and Florida years ago for tax purposes. Our ownership group, Tavistock does all of its business in America(besides Spurs), but is domiciled in the tax haven Bahamas islands, which is only like 50 miles off shore at its closest point. We're as close to an American owned club already as you can get without the owner being American born.

Why do people say for tax purposes? If i was rich and i had a choice of what country i wanted to live in bahamas would be a lot higher on the list than england.

I will always support Spurs no matter what but I understand what you're saying.

Come on Baz, imagine your super yacht moored somewhere off Portsmouth with the wind howling and rain lashing down, surely you must be tempted no?

Always wondered if the story on the 'yachty potty' episode of football ramble a while back might have been him..
Oh my god. Now i want to cry.

This. Spurs have NOTHING to do with the NFL besides for having 2 games a season at the new stadium. Maybe a prospective franchise would use the stadium but that does not mean the Spurs owner would own that team also.

Also, about a team in England. Lets just ask Shahid Khan how getting his NFL team over here for good is going. Easier to relocate then to start from scratch and he hasnt been able to bring his Jaguars to England.

If there is any take over chance, the cheque book will be well and truly closed for transfers

There is no chance of a take over at this time.

Lewis values the club as though the stadium is built, and filled to capacity. A buyer will not pay full price for a half-completed stadium, and uncertainty in terms of future attendance. Too much risk (and not enough upside) at the prices Lewis/Levy are talking.
