Poch isnt doing an AVB and asking for players to break our current structure. I really hope Levy don't low ball just for the sake of low balling and gets who he wants

I don't buy it that Poch suddenly considers Trippier superior to Walker. He started a few games at the end of the season when the alleged bust up with Walker happened, but prior to that Kyle was clearly first choice. I can't believe that we'd so easily accept a loss of quality to the squad, never mind the first 11.

We paid £11m for Davies to fight it out with Rose, and with the market the way it is now, you're probably looking at about £20m even for a squad player, making Pereira viable. If not then we may as well have kept bloody Yedlin!

people getting excited about Foyth - hes a kid and only played a handful of games in Argentina, there will also be a difficulty in obtaining a work permit.

were people excited when we signed rodrigo defendi?

True, but if Wimmer goes i'm not sure Foyth alone would be enough to replace him. We'd need another centre half or a left back with Davies covering LCB in that case. I reckon if Wimmer's off we'll try to get Mawson in.

It's another reason why Pereira makes sense, because he can play LB as well.

Agreed. It will take him time to settle. We may need someone like Mawson.
As for was work permit, almost all Argentina players have dual passport with Italy or Spain. Lets wait & see.

Good luck to Walker

I don't know what type of wages he'll be getting but I would imagine it's a hell of a lot more than what he was getting. If another company offered me £2k a year more than I'm getting, I would be gone. If say they doubled his wages why would he not want that?

I refuse to join the f**k Walker brigade but what I would say is he didn't really handle the pressure too well when he was classed as the best RB in the league, I fear how he will handle the pressure of such a transfer fee. The fans won't give him time to settle, especially after spending such a huge chunk on getting him

We never finished in 2nd place with Bale, we never really mounted a challenge for the title with Modric.......we will be just fine without Walker

Good luck mate, thanks for your service

So we've got some net spend ITK? If we sell Walker (50), Sissoko (15), Wimmer (20), and one of the "unwanted" (5-15) You're looking at nearly 100m conservatively.

The players coming in better be a lot better than bargain backups (as the Hertyid ITK suggests at RB) and youth players (Foyth, Pau)

Presuming we spend every £ we make. At the moment all the ITK has said is we won't spend any additional funds.

I am amazed we have sold Walker and we don't seem any closer to signing a replacement. obviously these things do take time, but if we was close to making a significant signing the media would have picked up on this by now.

For once I would like Levy to be ahead of the game so that we do not have to listen to all the drivel about was Walker the best full back in the world. I want to hear us all talking about a better Spurs team next year because we brought player X & Y. We all knew Walker was dead meat in April so why not show our class by buying what we need early:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

We do seem to have a blindspot for buying in talented attackers. Kane was home grown. Alli was a box to box CM when he arrived. Eriksen has come good and Son has come good both over time.

Chadli you could argue was useful. Struggling to think of who else in attack we've bought who is actually decent...

Because they cost money and are the most highly paid
