For once I would like Levy to be ahead of the game so that we do not have to listen to all the drivel about was Walker the best full back in the world. I want to hear us all talking about a better Spurs team next year because we brought player X & Y. We all knew Walker was dead meat in April so why not show our class by buying what we need early
We can always try to buy early but there is also the selling club to take into account.
I have no knowledge of how transfers work but there is always less competition when spending £10 than £10m
I'm sure every club would like to buy early

I've got to admit it, at the moment I'm pretty disheartened with our lack of ambition this summer. Just hoping a Son like surprise transfer appears out of nowhere, giving us some extra quality.

More or less: Poch wanted Walker out - so he is gone. He wants the other players to stay, so they are not for sale.
There is a lack of punctuation but what he meant was that one of the reasons Walker was sold was because he and Poch didn't see eye to eye.
In May, Poch said that the only outgoings would be players that Poch wants to get rid off.

Surely Levy knows the fans won't accept this, without a few in - most fans will be absolutely livid. Can't sell a great player to a rival and not reinvest it.
I can't see us signing any more than 2 though. Foyth and Pau probs

I'm getting a bit concerned that all this Dier won't be sold ITK maybe setting us up for "we did all we could but the player wanted out."
It's probably all the negativity in here ATM. Hopefully some signings will lift the mood!

tbf we have been breaking even transfer wise ever since Bale left. So I guess one could argue that the stadium hasn't changed how we do transfers.
