Barkley and Pereira will be good transfers but if that's all, I will be more excited to see more of Onomah, Edwards, KWP or CCV.
Would delete that bud. Just did the same thing before realising where I was posting
It's like Fergie always said, the time to strengthen and freshen things up is after a successful season, to stop complacency setting in. If we want to keep performance levels high bring in players who threaten our current XI's places.TBF, in what position do we really need a player that gets the pulse racing? Maybe a speedy, wing player (We wanted Mane last season and got Sissoko). But, who would you drop in a fully fit lineup? Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lamela? And that's not including developing players like N'Koudou, Edwards and Onomah.
CheersAnd you should delete the quote
Not sure how big a "weakness" that really was. Most of the time we don't use a wide forward. And when we do - will that forward out-produce what Son gave us last season? Seems highly unlikely. If the ITK is all true I still feel we lack an 'explosive' player in the wide forward channel a Mane if you will. Last season that was perhaps our main weakness.
Pereira and Barkley are good though, glad it looks as though we have an instant replacement for Walker of it comes off.

I suppose that's pretty easy when you're one of the worlds biggest clubs with almost limitless financial resources. It's like Fergie always said, the time to strengthen and freshen things up is after a successful season, to stop complacency setting in. You may need to rewatch last season's home NLD game again ...
Not to 'put in' but someone who adds a bit more diversity isn't a bad idea. Having said that I'm not too bothered if its a winger or some other kind of player. What matters is Poch is on board. Not sure how big a "weakness" that really was. Most of the time we don't use a wide forward. I think its a crutch that people hold onto - this need for a wide forward. Think about what you have to take out of the line-up to put in that player...
I don't think so. Levy doesn't have to do desperate like before, there's more value in supporting Poch whereas previously there was always a tangible sense of our managers somehow treading water. The organ grinder is now the monkey and he must, surely, keep his peanuts to himselfknowing levy he would have tried to get a good chunk of the walker money upfront, lets hope with the new perrira itk that levy doesnt do his standard lets move the goal post last minute jobby, allowing juve to swoop in as porto dont wanna deal with our levy
people getting excited about Foyth - hes a kid and only played a handful of games in Argentina, there will also be a difficulty in obtaining a work permit.
were people excited when we signed rodrigo defendi?
United weren't significantly richer than us in the 90s, just much better run, top to bottom.I suppose that's pretty easy when you're one of the worlds biggest clubs with almost limitless financial resources.
But worldwide the figures soar. The Far East and elsewhere show the EPL is a winner. On a side note, the prices bubble in the PL is going to burst sooner rather than later. Viewing figures have gone down last year, and I'm not convinced that its just a blip. In a few years time there could well be a few clubs with crazy wages find themselves in a spot of bother.
ali z on replacements:
As i said weds club feel they have got Perrira
Don't know about world wide, but I am pretty sure viewership was down in the US this season. But worldwide the figures soar. The Far East and elsewhere show the EPL is a winner.
