Yes, has won many GK awards

Can't remember exact minutes but across the 14/15-15/16 seasons Kane, Bentaleb, Townsend, Mason, Carroll, and Rose all were actual squad memmbers. I'm sure some were injured at different times though. They all were more significant members of squad, than Onomah, Winks, KWP etc.
Yeah but we can't really count bentaleb and rose as home grown?well rose maybe but borderline.
People talkin about kane,I never really followed as closely as now do.But all I remember is that you'd constantly hear he had scored.some things never change.

Rose was 16, Bentaleb 17, and neither had played at senior level before while both went into our academy side so I'd say they count.

Why would you not count Bentaleb as home grown. I'd argue he's more homegrown with us than Rose.
u
We paid 1m for Rose and while he never played he made Leeds' bench once. We picked Bentaleb up after he'd been released in France, and failed a trial at Birmingham. We took him from 'nothing' into a PL player.

What do you consider homegrown? I assume you mean personal preference and not the rule

I can see why some players don't see players homegrown but once they fit the rule it makes sense. I don't see Tracey as homegrown as he has only been with us for a year, but in 3 years time, and if he became a first teamer I would as we would have played major role in his development

If they weren't born attached to a lilywhite-and-navy-blue umbilical cord and wailing Can't Smile Without You as they exited their mum's stench trench then they're not home-grown enough for me.

would either make your top 10, @IGSpur?

amos i think will have a better career than miller but it doesn't look like he'll be making their list, unless they leave out eyoma.

Don't agree with that. Amos will be lucky to play above Conference South in my opinion. I suspect he'll have a similar path as Jake Nicholson. Miller is going to have a career at least League 2 level.

not an amos fan then? don't think you've mentioned it before ;)

i suspect both will get league 1 loans soon, though i think there's a chance miller will just be sold if we get an acceptable offer.

Miller might have more natural flair than Amos, but he's far less impressive in terms of his defensive reading and ability to follow team instructions, which is big for Poch.

Best case scenario for Amos is he gets a good loan where he plays every week, comes back bigger and stronger for next pre-season and stakes a claim for a first team squad place.
Best case scenario for Miller is he gets a Championship loan and plays more than he did for Burton before joining them on a perm. More likely is he'll drop down to League One and then join them on a perm.

I think I always perceived U16 as homegrown .No logic to it.Just how I see it.

I think Amos is a quite a tidy footballer without having quite enough about him to either dominate games from deep or be creative enough - I think he will make a decent living playing football.

Miller I am not so sure he can finish and has a spark to his game - but he is a neither nor player- he is not a forward and he is not a midfielder and he can't impact games out wide.

Sadly I don't think either will figure at Spurs though if Georgiou can make an impact then who knows

Big rumours we will sign a RB.wonder where this will leave KWP.I feel pretty convinced he will supersede trippier and Davies eventually.Just hope he can get some reasonable playing time.otherwise might seriously have to consider a loan to a lower EPL club .Somewhere like Brighton with hughton be perfect.but no idea on there full back situation.

I think he'll stay put.
Assuming it's Pereira or Toljan we sign for RB, both are quite comfortable at LB also, not to mention KWP playing there in the summer, so initially with Rose out injured, KWO will be in the mix. Equally, with Wimmer sounding likely to be off, Davies could be needed at LCB, again creating a fullback space for KWP, whether that be as straight LWB option, or as RWB with Pereira/Toljan going over to the left.

KWP (or any of your desired targets mentioned) should not be playing left back. It isn't a position where you just stick any old body these days to do a job, they're crucial, especially progressive attacking systems. In ours you need specialists who can bomb right up the flanks, hold that width high and attack the outsides.

He is slightly unique in that he still offers threat with his dribbling wherever he plays on the pitch, but he rarely poses questions going down the outside on the left flank, which is what is needed in my opinion to really stretch play and when we are at our best.

Basically, no to right backs shunted to the left. Keep them on their strong side.

Yeah there's a lot of flexibility in the squad ,I'm trying to think of a player that can only really play in one position. Most can play couple of different roles at least. And by the sounds of players we are looking to buy the same applies.Cant believe the season starts in a week.Even without new signings there's so many unknowns it's really interesting.
Have we seen the best of Kane or is there even more to come. How will new beast mode dele fair.will this be the season eriksen becomes truly world class.winks and onomah. Will Edwards emerge.will janssen show up.Nkoudou who knows ,all pretty fascinating. We must have the most players that you really don't know what their full potential is.I think if Dele has an outstanding season and really goes to next level,we could go very close again. And think that will be the difference, players like dele and eriksen showing they are truly world class.

Hearing Aston Villa have landed the loan signing of Spurs midfielder Josh Onomah. @MirrorFootball

Bit of a shock that, if true. It'll be a very interesting season for Josh if he does go. The Championship is ripe for someone with his particular talents. I'd be surprised if he wasn't used as a no.10 though. The football tends to be very predictable & sides tend to play the penetrative dribblers out wide or behind a striker. The central two or three tend to be ball winners and recyclers which would be a tragic waste of Onomah's talents.
