Good job it happened now and not after the window closed it gives us nearly a month to find someone. The quotes from Poch about not thinking KWP is ready yet show up the sale of Walker as possibly the poorest bit of transfer business we have done since the Berbatov-for-Campbell deal in 2008. I wasn't in favour of allowing Walker to leave in the first place, but with Poch effectively saying that he doesn't consider KWP as proper backup for Trippier, this has gone from 'less-than-ideal' to 'absolute clownshoes' in no time at all.
As @St José Dominguez quite rightly pointed out earlier in this thread, the worst aspect is that Poch et al will have known for some time that Walker was going, and also known for some time that they didn't trust KWP, leaving Trippier as our only specialised RB option. Getting caught out by sod's law with Trippier's injury would just be unlucky if it wasn't for the fact that our vulnerability in that RB spot couldn't have been predicted a long way in advance... as it is, it just looks like a totally self-inflicted faceplant right now.

MOM in my opinion. Unlucky not to score.Just wish he played like this last season. Still think Poch will keep him.Some/many Spurs fans are so obsessed with the concept that Sissoko is shit that even when he - on rare occasions - plays well their minds are so clouded by their pre-concept of him being that they still think he played shit. And that's a shit mentallity.
No, I am not a fan of him either based on last season's performance (particularly considering his price) but he's still a Spurs players and deserve support when he merits it.
Hey now, what now.
Depends, could be quick, could be slow...
Most damage needs good Oxygen (key to bringing in recovery nutrients), Calcium (to patch the damage), and Magnesium to prevent Lymph acidity/stagnation, if plentiful recovery nutrition then it should be quick, if area already has a metabolic residue backup then issues can become like Rose or Lamela IMO.
I'm staying out of this stuff this season though, if I can.
DaSpurs and Khilari are the trained Medical guys though, I believe.

i'll support him but i think fans have set the bar so low for him now that as long as he manages to stay upright and do the absolute basics then he's considered to have had a good game.
Ankle sprains are graded/classified (I-III) by the severity of the underlying ligament damage (ranging from nil injury to full rupture), degree of swelling/bruising & pain on weight bearing...
Generally ankle sprains will be treated with conservative management (protective boot/rest/ice/compression & elevation) for a minimum of 1-2wks.
If you are unable to weight bear an X-ray will be performed to exclude underlying fractures/avulsion (fragments of bones pulling away from the attachment sites of the ligament) or severe syndesmosis injuries (disaster zones...lets ignore this!)
At an elite level they'll scan earlier than the general public (either USS or top level will get an MRI) to accurately assess the underlying degree of ligament damage.
Essential aim of ankle sprains is to manage conservatively & evidence shows that once the initial swelling & pain has subsided, early weight bearing & functional rehabilitation allows the quickest return to playing.
However any ongoing pain/instability or bony involvement will ultimately progress to operative management & then obviously recovery times are increased...
Generally what I tell my patients is:
- Grade I = 1-2weeks, II = 2-4weeks, III = anything up to 3-4months (bearing in mind this is a non-elite athlete group who don't have access to daily physiotherapy, strength & conditioning coaches etc...)
I haven't seen the injury so can't comment on it, but the use of a protective boot is not uncommon, particularly in the early phases. Hopefully we are looking at low Grade sprain...
NB my credentials are a Emergency Department Registrar with a degree in Sports Medicine & dabble a bit in being a sideline/Club doctor for semi professional teams over here in Australia. Also worked for a while in Orthopaedics...
Happy to answer any questions about injuries/medical issues etc that crop up over the course of the season...

He did play well but was he playing well for a move away that's the thing.Watched the game last night and was really impressed,we looked much better all round in movement pressing passing ....compared to the last few games.
And hands up have to say sissoko had a pretty good game and if that level was kept up by him I'd keep him in the squad.
Yet again, Trippier has laid on an unplayable goal-scoring cross, delivered on the run, with one touch.
How long before people start invoking Beckham and Trippier's value starts to go nuts?
Seriously: his crossing ability is in that class. How long before people start to notice? Including people here?
If he keeps doing that, with Kane on the end, he's going to end up with 20 assists.
Keep your damn facts to yourself mate, some are happy with their myths thank you very much..
But we didn't look out of place.Hard to say. City beat us, as we were underdone. We beat Juve and PSG as they were underdone.
