This was posted today on FTL by someone called LMathews01

Someone posted this on the UAE Spurs Supporters Club message board yesterday:

"ITK - Pal has just flown Jean-Michael Seri. Reckons he is signing for Spurs"

I am not ITK, dont shoot the messenger

Never heard of the poster before
Maybe it's the blind optimist in me, but in the past these random, out of the blue ITK snippets have been some of the best. Remember the Zokora one?

As ever though salt applied and I won't start getting excited just yet. If true, our CM depth / quality will be second to none in the PL.

Know nothing about this guy, never seen him play so I've done the inevitable and gone to YouTube.

Looks a neat, tidy player. Likes to drive forward with the ball and has an eye for a pass. He loves a fancy flick pass, so I can see the fans going mental at him when they don't come off and jizzing over him when it does.

But, he's a centre mid. When will he play? Onomah just went out on loan because he knew his chances were limited and wanted game time, so how often will this chap play?

Can't see this one actually being true.

If Sissoko goes and Onomah is on loan that would leave some space in the middle particularly given Dembele's injury issues.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a new CM, and I have been excited for some of the CM links. But not this guy. He is not particularly young any more, he is not close to the usual stature that Pochettino prefers (tall, well-built), and he can't do anything that Carroll, Mason and Bentaleb couldn't do, all of whom we sold.

As I said earlier, if we sign Seri, it probably means Dier is made a permanent fixture of back line, whether CB or back up RB

Yep think aeroplane itk is 100% accurate so far. Didn't someone meet holtby and his team on a plane and huntlaar told himthat holtby had agreed to join us. Lot of people were skeptical till he posted photos of himself with them.

We do have a private jet so it is not out of the realms of possibility that we sent a plane to collect him?

Still massive dose of salt.

I suppose though Winks has done well for us and he is a quick passing type of player, a deep lying playmaker, this guy looks similar. It could be all a question of ability, if PSG and Barca have some interest he can't be that bad. Who knows, guess that's what we have scouts for to determine if he is suitable.

It's whether he is lying or not. If the guy is not lying and Jean Micheal-Seri is not lying to the guy either then it's about as good ITK as you will ever get, the player himself confirming essentially the deal.

But that's a big if.

For me, Harry Winks is way better. And as for our scouts, well they've still got a bit to prove, don't they.

Well, IIRC, Seri was pretty much useless last season in Europe vs. teams like Schalke and Salzburg, a very basic standard of competition level. That's a worry, we need players who can boss at least the medium level of CL opponents.
Did you watch these matches?

He's being linked to the likes of Barca and Arsenal for a reason, he's a superb player.

Seems to be billed as a bit of an all round midfielder. Tenacious enough in the tackle to play as a DM, but better suited to the box to box role driving forwards, arguably also got enough technique and vision to play as a No10 also. There was some comment that with Onomah being allowed out on loan, whilst Son and Lamela are not fit, that there must be a CM/AM imminent as we're so thin on the ground. Maybe that would tie in with this.
Not convinced personally, but I can see it ticking a few boxes.
Wasn't there some media links to Arsenal (perhaps as a Lemar alternate), but also of late I'm sure I saw Barca and PSG linked.

He looks a decent player, but surely we have players like Winks and Onomah who can offer the same. This is the sort of signing that Stoke or West Ham would make. Surely we should be aiming for a better quality of player?
