I don't really get how people can back the club when we've signed no one, sold a first choice player and not tied Toby to a new contract.
As someone who logs into this forum quite often to catch up if you have passed on any info in good faith, don't sit back, it's now the nature of the beast. Spurs aimed high and it's not come off that's all.Couldn't make it up could you and its been on for months!!
I may just sit back now. I did this once before with Moutinho with the same end result FFS

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-40861465I'm going full blown doom and gloom for a while.
This is unbelievable, a player scouted for a year and been in touch with since Jan has fallen yet again at the last hurdle. We have now missed out on a primary target. Lots of work to do, we still want 3 but this is a big blow!
I wonder whether the last hurdle was anything to do with financials...Or just a preference of another team over Spurs...

Juan Foyth supposedly wanted to come to us. Club wanted the money. Money talks.Anything I`ve read about this guy has always pointed to Juventus wanting him and him wanting Juventus...
Hope we have an alternative target with the same profile. Pacy bloke with the intelligence to use said pace to move into dangerous positions and be a genuine goal threat. The alternative best not be another player in the Nkoudou mould with pace to burn, but not able to use it for other things than running in a straight line.
I'm obviously incredibly niave and/or ignorant about the situation, but how can a transfer go from close, to dead in a matter of hours?
If the player was interested and then changed his mind, it couldn't have been that close, and if the issue was cost then there's always a bit of negotiation unless the goalposts are changed dramatically.
Just another player missed out on and we can look forward to the ligue 1 bargain bin once again...
