But if we buy another right right back how often is KWP gonna play?..he's obviously backup to Trippier, is that really going to help him progress?

I think we could use KWP in the champions league, let's face it, we aren't going to win the competition and he will be coming up against some very good players so will give him some confidence in that role, the other RB we buy could be rotated with trippier in cup comps along with KWP and Trippier will be first choice in the league unless Poch decides otherwise.

Just think it's a big risk to put KWP in that position at his age and with such little experience, even if he did look fantastic today, ultimately however whatever Poch decides is the best route forward I will trust because I know he will have KWP's best interests at heart.

Not the greatest of performance today, but first few matches are always about getting points on the board. Onwards and Upwards!

So you wanna protect him by throwing him in against some of the strongest teams in Europe?..bloody mentalist.

Look I'm not going to bother arguing this because it's a Spurs forum after all, I am just saying that I know if that had been the other way around, and it's Kane limping off after that tackle, the comments wouldn't be along the lines of 'clumsy', 'honest attempt for the ball', 'just a yellow' etc. etc.....

Kane's previous 2 ankle injuries came from similar challenges. Opposition player didn't even get a yellow

I don't think it will destroy his confidence in the champions league, every player in our squad knows that's a tough comp and they all know it isn't our priority to win it, so any mistakes made aren't going to be considered "costly" in terms of our season overall as nobody expects us to win it, however, when it comes to the PL, every mistake is analysed at a microscopic level by fans and media alike and we are in a position where things are expected of us, the pressure is higher.

I don't want him put in a position where he makes a mistake in a really important game in the PL and it destroys his confidence.

A group opposed to racism I think? Apparently. Lads only apparently. Well. that's good.
Founded, it is claimed, by a man called Meighan, banned from football grounds for three years. But I am happy to be corrected....

Didn't you just say in another thread that you're desperate to win a trophy? However difficult it maybe to win the CL I don't think going in it with a defeatist attitude will do us much favours, sets the tone for the players if you ask me. Anyway I'm not a fan of this proposal regardless and again I'm not convinced that the player we bring in will be as good as what we currently have anyway, unless there's another Kyle Walker clone out there which I seriously doubt, we'd be better off with the two RB's we currently have at the club and nurturing them to become better players.

Why is it Lads only, out of interest?

They're an "anti-extremist" group, but their marches concentrate exclusively on Islamic extremism and terrorism and they have a substantial overlap in attendees with Britain First/the EDL. A mix of far-right racists and hooligans looking for a respectable label and more innocent people who've bought into it without realising.

Coys. Could witness the start of another top academy product kicking off his spurs career. Excited

Maybe premature but was really impressed with his maturity. He passed the ball well, kept things simple and also won a couple of headers. Lacks KW physical attributes but has a footballing brain evidences by the first time volley cross he tried in the end half.

Big future beckons.
