So let me get this right, we have potentially signed one of the highest rated young defenders in the world yet we have people complaining? Oh AND the window is still open? Taking it to a whole new level right guys?

Some of our fans seem to a have a paradoxical conflicting mind set when it comes to sending money on players or upping wages in the current market. We don't complain when we are receiving £50 M for Walker but to pay for Sanchez or Barkley we have a problem.

Ajax have given us great players for reasonable prices in the past so I don't have a problem doing business with Ajax, I admire the relationship we have with them and would like that relationship to stay sweet, however there might be a point when Ajax and Dutch teams in general move away from their current policy.

The interesting thing about this window is that we are potentially signing two people that want to come to us to prove themselves as footballers. I can't really make this claim about Sanchez, but the fact we are signing a player who (Apparently) rejected Barcelona in favour of Ajax for the good of his own game is a really good insight into the calibre of person we are signing. He probably knows he may end up at one of the big two spanish clubs in the future, but is willing to go out of his way to learn the game at some of the best places he could possibly do so in Europe.

With Barkley wanting to focus on his game too; good signs.

And this is where the genius of Levy comes in.

When Christy gets her next move to a bigger club/cock (me obviously), the deal is worth 10 million every inch.........

A cool 120 million!!!..........

And Daniel has added the customary 10% sell on clause, netting Spurs 12 million and leaving us an overall profit of 2 million!

That beautiful shiny headed bastard!.................

.........And Levy ain't bad either
Christy is nearly 50. Not sure there is much sell on value.

We complain when we don't spend big (like other ambitious clubs) and grumble that Levy is a Scrooge.

We complain when we spend big on young players with huge potential, fully knowing that high fees are the norm these days, especially when the buying club is from the cash rich English league.

We're damned if we do and
Damned if we don't. :(

I have to say from the obligatory you tube videos he looks mustard. Strong, quick, timely in the tackle and a good header of the ball.
