Bad choice, but I don't see that as effecting the squad in any way?

Don't see how that's at all similar to calling your manager a fag, saying he's blowing players, and then slagging off the ability of about half your teammates.

In my eyes, putting the lives of other people in danger, is worse than hurting their feelings.

Your opinion, but one directly involves the squad and one doesn't.

Of course, but I thought it was the principle of not signing people with bad morals that was the case here, not squad happiness. My bad if I misunderstood.

I think some players would react to a drink and driving incident.

And why should we care about what he said about his PSG team mates? It's not our squad. Many players have said or done bad things in a club, then moved to a new club and never repeated their bad behaviour.

Some proper whiny muppets on this forum, jesus Christ. He made some comments, out of anger / frustration i'd imagine and apologised for them. Who hasn't made a mistake in their lives. Get over it.

Given the like from Aurier, I think we can safely say he is heading to us. Bigger hurdle is his visa/work permit. Hopefully, he gets his immigration done

I personally think the club and player stuff has been agreed to, but Spurs are waiting on the legal stuff to clear up. Maybe they've gotten some word from PSG that they expect a favorable ruling before the window?

I don't think you can ever safely assume anything off a social media response but it is definitely possible we're in his running. Have not seen much ITK backing this deal, unless those that know are opting to keep quiet. Remember we're not the only club in for him and it may be a case of if he gets his UK clearance we're a preferred destination but probably not the only one.

Do we have any info on the next stage in the legal issues? Last I can find is that a hearing was due on 7 Aug.

Sorry if answered before - is there any definitive date for his court case? Imagining it will last a few days if not longer?

This is his current situation. Taken from a French paper (google translated)

Serge Aurier is a very popular player this summer, the team tells us in its paper edition of the day. But his situation is slow to be resolved, due to administrative problems, but also in the expectation of resolving his setbacks with the French justice system. Indeed, the sports newspaper explains that the player made an application for French naturalization. Aurier had already attempted a first request, when he was still a player of RC Lens, refused by the administration. According to Aurier's entourage, Aurier has redone an application and Jean-Claude Blanc, the club's deputy general manager, has been trying for several weeks to find a solution to settle the case without success. This nationality award would be a boon for the player,

Then, in the case of violence against a policeman (for which he was sentenced to two months in prison, an appeal still pending) his lawyer tries to obtain, in vain, an official document formalizing the decision call. This decision, according to L'Equipe, has already been taken but would not have been made public. According to the newspaper, the player will not be sentenced to prison. This document is essential to apply for an entry visa for England, without which it will not be able to enter the British territory. He will then have to apply for a work visa. Clubs interested in the player would follow this situation carefully. Some clubs have even contacted the lawyer of the player to find out where the file is.

Feel stupid assuming that him liking an insta post means it's close or it's happening but honestly can't think of what else it could mean

Don't see why he would like it unless it's happening

Summation : We don't know what's the latest

I suppose we do know that his Appeal hasn't failed because he is not currently in prison.

It was widely reported that he received a suspended sentence, but reports in France state it was a 2 month jail term (not suspended) and that he was given bail until his Appeal hearing.
