He doesn't want to be at PSG. He told Emery personally he wanted out and it was reported just about everywhere. PSG are clearly trying to oblige him.

Do we know why he's not wanted?
Quote from about a month ago:

“I’ve spoken with Serge to tell him I wanted him to stay here and continue with us,” Emery told L’Equipe. “He told me that he wanted to leave and that he wanted to stay in Paris to prepare for going. So, we signed Dani Alves, a very experienced player who has the spirit of a champion.”

I know he has issues but if he sincere about putting the bad stuff behind him he would be a hell of a signing.. pace power agression technical ability ...perfect

I can't lie. The attitude problems worry me, especially now that we've seen first hand something like it with Danny Rose.

But in pure footballing terms, Aurier is the best of the RBs we've been linked. The closest there is to Walker too.

In my view Rose didn't say anything a lot of FANS are not thinking... I don't see it as an issue I think he will give his all when he gets fit.. Sometimes people get frustrated with their situation and make the wrong choice. I don't understand fans turning against Rose he just wants success nothing wrong with that..

While I like Trippier I don`t think Martial and other pacy players will be taking the piss out of Serge Aurier the way quick players can do Trippier!!

Everytime I've seen him I have thought he was superb. World Class. He may have a past and be a bit of a shit but he would be our shit and if he behaves and puts it behind him then we have a player that's better than Walker.....imo.

Rose is not a fan.

He needs to go and I'll be shocked if Poch still wants him around.

Rose is a snake and is trying to engineer a move away.

For me we should keep him at the club and not let him anywhere near the 1st team.

Sell him next season, whether Levy is willing to take the hit financially is doubtful.

Not the best idea to waste the best left back in the league is it? Rose is not a snake he probably feels undervalued it is a human reaction. He is an honest player and will do his best for us im 100% sure..
He has apologized so let's accept it and move on. Letting him rot in the reserves sould be idiotic to say the least...

I've been surfing the French web sites.

There is good news, not so good news and a lurking threat.

The good news is that all the sites say that Aurier has agreed personal terms with Spurs and that Spurs have agreed to pay the asking price of €25m. He wants out of PSG.

The not so good news is that it is very unclear whether he will qualify for a UK work permit. He was sentence to two months in prison for assaulting police officers outside a nightclub and if this sentence stands he will not get a work permit. His associates say that they have been told that his appeal against his sentence had been successful but they as yet have no documentary evidence to support this.

The lurking threat is Inter Milan. The sites say that he has also agreed personal terms with Inter Milan and that they can sign him without needing a work permit but they will not pay the fee PSG want and currently have the maximum number if non EU players they are allowed before they could sign Aurier.

So it seems as though the transfer turns on whether his appeal against his prison sentence succeeds. Is there a French Avocat on Spurs Community who could advise on this?

PS. I say "sites" but as in the UK there could just be one original source whose information is being repeated multiple times.

I highly doubt Levy would pursue this one should there be a risk of him not receiving the work permit. We must have had a positive response.

As for Inter, they could be a threat but we do have CL football and I do think he'd prefer the lure of Prem football.
