Ironically the Guardian running a story today about how Trippier is determined to take his chance now he's finally got it:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/26/tottenham-kieran-trippier-burnley-take-his-chance

With the Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier looking likely to join the 20-year-old Kyle Walker-Peters as competition for his place, Trippier knows the challenges he has faced in his career are not over yet. But he hardly seems fazed by the fact. “I work hard on the training field every day,” he says, “especially with the manager here. He demands a lot of the players and the standard never drops off. I’ve not heard anything [about Aurier] but I don’t need to worry about any of these things. As long as I’m playing I’ll run as far as I can for my team-mates and I love playing in this position.”

Trippier is the man. He has earned it. Aurier has to come in, get acclimatized to the PL (this is not France), get acclimatized to Pochettino and prove himself vis-a-vis Trippier. If he displaces Trippier, or becomes a reasonable option, why is it a problem? Tripper will be fine. Let's not forget that he made Walker expendable. He played at the end of last season and was anything but a liability. Competition is a good thing. Sanchez is there too. I suspect there will be a lot of 3 at the back. There will be a lot of time on the pitch. We are in 4 competitions. We need to start taking all competitions seriously and start winning things. For that we need two options at every position. Time to get er done. Airier is part of that equation. So is Trippier.

I don't think he says that at all.
Edit: After a few listens I think I was probably distracted by the 3 knob heads in the video. He's coming to TottNahm! Coys.

It sounds like they're celebrating the fact that he's leaving... :\

This is from PSG forum...Apparently he is a well liked personality in the dressing room.

Despite his past with some controversial things, I am positive about this one. I think this is only his past. Not now. As a player, he is excellent and the quoted fee is nothing in todays transfermarket! Thumbs up from me.

No-brainer

He will be a top buy if we seal this....him in a back 5 with Rose,Toby Jan and Sanchez would be fucking mental.

PSG have to sell to meet FFP & it seems he's one they're prepared to let go & a RB wasn't on MU list, because Jose said he wanted 4 & he's got 3 & the other one was a forward not a RB.
