My personal opinion is that there will be 2 coming in that will challenge for first team spots in Barkley and Aurier,. I really wouldn't be holding out hope of an in his prime top class forward type though as things stand, but that doesn't mean we are not trying to fill a spot that we know needs filling.

In which case, I'd be fuming if I was Pochettino.
We sell Walker and bring in his replacement three matches into the season and don't buy the manager a player in the one position he's been desperate to strengthen for 2 seasons now.
Make no mistake, this manager is the most important piece to our future at Spurs. Levy shouldn't take a risk on his loyalty to us. If he gets frustrated and starts listening to offers from other clubs, we lose so much more than just a coach.

Aurier, Barkley and Origi would be amazing imo.

The ITK seems pretty consistent today. Seems Aurier and Barkley will be coming in and are near done. Foyth was done a while ago and just needs announced.
The pacy forward is the one that no one knows for sure and will likely not come off in the end if past windows are any guide.

I like that the name is not being mentioned and that the guessing games are being stamped on in here. Hopefully it means that the other teams that have fcuked us over in the past will find out only when it is too late. That said I do realise that the players' agents will probably know who we are after, I just hope that the agent concerned is a responsible one ........ however unlikely that may be!

I'd rather we take another shot on a Ligue 1 forward this summer, with the French league guru Steve Hitchen in the main seat this time round, than see us take another Sissoko'esque last day expensive punt in Benteke etc. I believe it was said the other day that we were looking in Spain and France at young forwards. Maybe, just maybe, a more informed scout like Hitchen may get us this summer's Ousmane Dembele instead of another Njie. Dembele went for a price that would have been well within our budget last summer, and look what he's just gone for now.
Just gotta have some faith.
If the money has to be watched for just one more season, according to Hercules comments yesterday, then let's get where we need to be by smart scouting.
Aurier for Walker
Sanchez for Wimmer
Barkley for Sissoko?
Plus maybe Foyth and Sancho in the background for depth.
Throw in a forward, maybe not at the top of his game yet, but with potential and skillset we don't currently have, then that's not a bad place to be at.
My one concern is Janssen's future given Poch's reluctance to use him. A young prodigy forward isn't bad if he's 3rd choice, but with Janssen so untrusted, it's a bit of a risk.
Thanks to Hercules, Trix and GreyFox for their latest updates, sounds like we are moving in the right direction.

Odd one? Could be special? I don't think this is Martial. Whomever it is, I sincerely hope we pull it off. Would be great to have a little extra to get the team excited.
