If its Gelson, hope deal is in final stages. The third party ownerships such an headache. Past dealings with Portuguese players for us has been a nightmare - case in point Moutinho.

Any release clause will only be activated if a payment is made in full upfront. I very much doubt Levy would pay 60 mil in one go.

Martins would also fit in with the idea that we were doing business late so that others don't try and poach him when we get linked. He was linked early on with Liverpool when they wanted Salah. If they knew we'd wanted him then, they may have pushed further for him

Yep, dealing with Portuguese teams is never easy. I can't see how negotiating for him would be kept quiet. So many teams would be in for him. He looks the real deal.
