Before I start creaming my pants over martins I'm going to wait to see if we get any credible hard evidence that it is him.

That's out of order. First off it was my cryptic, not A&C. Secondly, we were asked by (both!) sources not to name the player as it was too sensitive. I made the cryptic ridiculously hard for that reason. We're not expecting anyone to guess it but if by some miracle they do, there's enough "right sounding" answers that it doesn't cause any problems. It's a bit of fun and we'll try to reveal it when the windows over if we can. You might be back by then if you're lucky.

Also, I assume that 'miracle' hasn't happened, ruling Martins out.....?

Gray - legs but he is 3rd choice of the wide forwards

Current leader in the clubhouse as the answer to the cryptic is Gelson Martins.

The fact he's said it's very sensitive etc means hes hardly going to come out and say I made it hard but you guessed it anyway, it's Martins etc. Just playing devils advocate

was yes, but stopped posting for 4-5 years so I imagine he was replaced with the likes of TM and Dougal and maybe Stoof as well?

Personally I wouldn't read into that post by Rob. Seems clear that even if we have guessed it, he's not going to be saying who it is or even admitting to it as such.

I'd follow the more solid evidence which you go on to mention afterwards.

So the clue in this is the "right sounding", which suggests whoever suggested the song and Gelson Martins is correct!
