Daily Mail saying that Andre Gomes to Spurs is close. Poch has won the player over. (don't shoot the messenger)
That's an unfortunate typo.Dominic King (DailyMail) not saying 'Gomes deal is almost done. Poch influence crucial in signing player'
There had definitely been links earlier in the dayIf I remember correctly the Sissoko news didn't gather pace until around 6pm last summer.
So how do loans for academy players work?
He's not signed professional forms yet has he?
So is the loan agreement between City and a Dortmund or the player himself and Dortmund?
I'd have thought we could still agree a contract with him in January regardless of where he is.
didn't Usmanov sponsor their training facility and was/ is a business partner of the new owner?
Umm...Llorente.You're right: there's still time for this to get much, much worse.
dont know why but gutted about sancho.
on one hand the desire was due the insatiable desire for more signings, but in reality, this player is not first team ready and is one for the future so would have no impact on this season.
No winger is an absolute disaster.
Make no mistake about it.

oopsThat's an unfortunate typo.
He's good cover for Kane: he can score, unlike Janssen (for us).Umm...Llorente.
It would be a disaster, yes, but that hasn't come to pass quite yet. We've had lots of ITK about a pacey player, including from JJ this morning, so let's not rush to judgment until the window is closed. No winger is an absolute disaster.
Make no mistake about it.
At WHL though, we do need pace in Europe and at Wembley.WE FINISHED SECOND LAST YEAR WITHOUT A PACEY FUCKING WINGER!!!
If it happens good if it doesn't. Still good.
And Foyth.Without wanting to tempt fate, Aurier, Gomes, Sanchez and Llorente would be a pretty insane window if it all got done (and Gazza of course).
There's no "pacy wide forward" there which obviously every Spurs fan apart from me it seems to think is utterly vital (even though we didn't have one last year either and scored more goals than anyone). Our full-backs provide our width so personally I wouldn't be bothered - Gomes would be the really exciting one for me - a really elegant, classy CM with a great range of passing - something we've been missing for a long time and a perfect foil for Wanyama or Dier. In fact to me it looks like Wanyama and Gomes would be the preferred two CM partnership, with Winks and Dier as their back-ups. Dembele can cover pretty much any position or move further forward.
I'd be over the moon if it all came off.
