We needed a RB and we got one................couple of days ago some on this site was crying out saying we're not filling the positions needed. We've actually signed a RB but still some are crying.........

We finished in 2nd place with this squad and by all accounts it sounds like Aurier might well prove to be a better RB than Walker and Llorente a better back up than Vinny

How can this window not be considered a success???

The fact that we've kept all of our best player (minus Walker but replaced him with a potential better player) in my opinion is a fantastic window (y)

Do you think Mane wouldnt work in our system? The reason than Njie/Nkoudou havent worked is because theyre not good enough, its not the system.
Liverpool play counter attack and rely on pace over the top. We play with build up and therefore have no room to run into. What we need is players who have fast feet and skill and can beat a player from a standing start much like Dembele, Barkley or a modric type.

Can we ban the words pacey attacker please, everyone is obsessed. We have signed some over the last few years and it doesn't work in our system. I just want quality, skilful players. Our pace comes through our full backs. Our attackers do not play wide.

Of course the player has to have skill and technique in addition to pace. That works in ANY system. Pace by itself we all know doesnt really help, no one here is advocating to sign Usain Bolt. The player does not have to play wide exclusively, so don't understand that comment. If we are ever gonna win anything we need our own Mane, Sanchez, Hazard type. Someone who can do the extraordinary. Or is Bale just a forgotten memory of what he was capable of doing for us on his own ?

Why was ITK seemingly unanimous in their optimism last night? Aurier was already done and known. Couldn't be cause of Llorente, who while nice is not an amazing pickup. Would love to know because today's outcome doesn't seem to match up.

I think it was probably Aurier tbh.

Edwards is built like a jelly baby.

At the end of the day dembele can play attacking mid if required. As can winks as can gomes if he joins. We have lamela coming back too. We are not short on attacking midfield options. Defence was a concern and we fixed that as poch didn't trust wimmer or ccv. We needed a third choice gk that was done. Poch wanted rid of walker. He was gone and a very good replacement was brought in. Poch wasn't sure about jannsen so we brought in a very good striker that we know can handle the prem.

We have a fucking strong squad now.

Makes you wonder if promises have been fed from the club?

Has the window closed already?

But we were at WHL last season. The need for pace is greater at Wembley

Our counter attack is moving the ball quickly oh i give up

Exactly, we move the ball quickly not the legs. As an old sage once said, "Let the ball do the work".
