Will you change your mind if we haven't won anything in, say, 7 or 8 years time? Or even 15 years time? Will you be happy for us to win nothing but compete admirably within a smaller budget for the rest of our lifetime? Genuine questions.
Just to be clear, I would love to win it the way we're doing things at the moment. But I'm intrigued to hear your answers to the question(s) above.
Mate, I'm very confident we'll win things under Pochettino, he's the key. I genuinely don't believe we won't have won things in the time frames you give.
Our transformation and progression under Pochettino, particularly when you consider the disparity in resources to that of our rivals, has been remarkable.
Kane's recent comments sum it up for me, basically saying that he wants Poch to be Tottenham's Ferguson.
So to answer your question mate, it's not a situation I want to even contemplate when we're doing so well, and doing it in the way we're doing it.
We don't get the respect we deserve in the media but when we do win something we'll have every right to highlight the fact we simply havnt bought success, we've earned it, and against the odds.
That's something I'll take great pleasure in.
I sometimes think that's why we don't get enough respect in the media and amongst other pundits, managers etc. They can't bare the fact of us doing better from a disadvantaged position, because what does it actually say about their Clubs? Not a fucking lot in truth.
Imagine us winning the league off the back of two really good seasons as well. It wouldn't be a freak, it's enormous progress and taking on the financial heavyweights and outperforming them playing great football, with a young squad and a core group of English lads.
Fuck sake, the media should be wanking over us. Instead they'll cream themselves if we sell Kane to Madrid.
