Head says real madrid will tank us,

I am having nightmares of ronaldo vs trippier in the air and on the floor. (most centre halves cant out jump ronaldo at that back post).

Heart says

Spurs are going to turn up and play out a 2-2 draw.

I'm just having nightmares of Trippier playing tbh. he's going to have to be very switched on at all times tonight

Hoping against hope that Real underestimate us and focus their defensive energies on Harry Kane for the match, meaning he can draw the defenders away from the ball, allowing Sissoko to blaze a tap in miles over the bar in the last minute at 0-0

Matches like this are what it's all about. This match is the culmination of three years of hard work under Poch, to prepare a squad able to compete with the very top of Europe. Madrid are the reigning CL holders with the best midfield in the world and a guy called Cristiano Ronaldo. It's at the haunting Bernabeu - having flashbacks of a Crouch red card, a Gomes error, and even fucking Ade thumping one in against us.

But honestly, this is what success brings. I'm more excited than I've been for a match in a long time. Come on you Spurs!!!

Realistically we can get something out of this game but the odds are heavily against that, importantly though it doesn't matter that much.
Any result should pretty much guarantee us qualification as I can't see Dortmund getting anything in Madrid but losing doesn't mean very much, the game at home is a better bet and the really important game is the one in Dortmund.
No pressure then so let's enjoy ourselves and try to give them a spanking.

Exactly how I feel.

I think we'll score, but I can't help but feel they'll score more. Even so, I'm confident that our fans will be proud, and will go into the game at Wembley confident of a result.

Real Madrid 3 (Ronaldo 36', 89', Isco 64')
Spurs 1 (Kane 81')

A San Siro'esq performance is needed, and a breakaway goal in the latter stages!

We can do this..

probably not...

Any idea how many Spurs fans are in Madrid? I went last time and it was a lot more than the allocation.

Last time at the Bernabeu we lost 4-0, had Crouch sent off and I didn't even get to see the game because I was busy carrying my father's coffin to his funeral mass. Any improvement on that would be great.

No silly sending off's, no shitting your pants in the tunnel right before the game and I think we'll do ok. Cant see a win, but a draw is not out of the question.

Wish we had a fit Rose, Dembele & Wanyama for this one as I'd love to have seen us at our best against a team like Real.

Will be tough tonight but over the last few years this team have consistently surprised me with big performances in big games so anything's possible.

Exactly this. We didn't strive for the Champions League to be eliminated by Leverkusen and co, it was for nights like this.

Tonight could be the night people realise we are the real deal. Equally, we could get tonked....
