FA Cups won't convince a player to stay if they are adamant they want to go.

Look at Sanchez and Ozil as prime examples.
I agree. It would be nice for the fans to see some silverware though.

Standing 6th in the league with a few key players out, some players not seeming 100% and some players 'out of form' and in need of a rest ... Could be worse [enter pun here]

I thought we looked a lot better today. The players for the most part ran their hearts out. We clearly look a lot better in a 4-2-3-1 against most opponents. Sanchez making a dumb mistake and getting sent off really cost us the match. I think if we kept all 11 men on we actually would have ended up destroying them in the second half.

They are scoribng for fun, mate. That's the main thing. Great habit to gain.
They were last season too at this point in the season. Then players started getting fatigued and they faded out.

I agree when you're scoring for fun it feels like you can score at any moment and players tend to be more relaxed in goal scoring positions, but the great/bad thing about this game is that it can change within a couple of games.

I'm despondent about our form, injuries and the whole situation, especially as we really need CL football but there's still a long way to go and we know how good we can be when we get in the groove. We just need to get our mojo back or mopo needs to be bold and change something. Let's see.

EDIT: And for all Liverpool's free scoring run, their goal difference is only +4 over ours. Last season they had a similar advantage, we obliterated that from about mid-December onwards.

Wonder what kind of odds we’re getting after today of still finishing in the top 4? I’m putting some money on it. I still think we will. I actually think we’ll still finish second. It’s just a bad run of form. It happens.

I have to ask. What about us makes you think we will finish second? I would love it, obviously, but for me we look a long shot for 4th, let alone second place :/

We are 2 points below what we had at the exact same stage last season and 4 points off top 4, disappointing few weeks without a doubt but hardly a crisis if we can turn it round which I trust us to do

This is the stat that keeps amazing me. Fingers crossed we get the handbrake off soon.

The players look absolutely fucked and I can't understand why?

I've never seen Kane walking around the pitch when the ball is within 5 yards of him.

Poch fucked up the substitutions today. Dembele was burnt out after 60 mins and should have been subbed. Instead he took off on-form Son and Dele who both looked likely to score. We made Watford look like Barca

We're back up to sixth! I think that once we have all out injured players back, we will get back on track.
Toby and Wanyama aren't back until the new year. There is a helllll of a lot of football until then. We'd be out of the top 4 race if we allow this form to continue until then.

Calm down everyone yes not playing well but on the plus side Lamela is back Toby, and Victor W will hopefully be back soon.Looking at are fixtures for December we should win most of are games maybe the toughest one is city away.We should be ok come the the start of January but need to rest and few during this Xmas running. It was never going to be an easy season playing away from white Hart lane.

Nope.

I still think we are overrated and it will take a long time for the injured players to be back to full fitness and make an impact on the team. I think we should just focus entirely on the CL though i do not rate our chances at all.

I do not even mind losing some of our so-called star players as they are really not that good after all. With the exception of Kane, i the rest can be sold for all i care. Let the rebuilding begin. We might even need a new coach! I am wondering if Poch's book did have an impact on the players.

I think we will, Xmas period is key for us, that was when we really turned it round last year and hopefully we can do the same again this year.

There are no international breaks or European football for a good while after Apoel this week and after that Poch has plenty of time with them which is when we seem to really gel in previous seasons

I'm not interested in the fans. Based on some opinions I've heard, I can't stand some of them. I want to see the club continue in its growth.
I just feel like we haven't got to the stage yet where we are too good for the FA cup. Realistically, it is our best chance of silverware this season.
