When I saw the lineup I really wasn't expecting score like that. Much better game from Eriksen, better from Alli (although still far from his best IMO). I don't want to be the one who's looking for negatives after 3:0 win but I think we can all agree that Dier, Sissoko midfield is not the quality we require. Even with Winks, Wanyama and Dembele in mind I think we need to strength in this area.

There is no doubt that Alli spends too much time on the floor, but it was a blatant penalty today and I wish they’d just shut up about it.

The two ex footballers said it was, the ref in the studio said it was. I don’t care what Jake fucking Humphrey of some bias dickheads on twitter say.

The only reason they are even debating it is because it’s Dele.

No surprise that as soon as we had 2 of our 3 first choice CBs and a DM on the pitch we look much better.

For the last 2 seasons this has been the period over which we've started reeling other teams in - with the returns of Toby and Vic imminent there is no reason we can't end up second again.

I haven't seen the full match yet ... How was Columbian Dave ?

so smooth. i kept thinking rolls royce but he's like a cross between james bond a rolls royce and a pint of guiness. his funny haircut just gives opponents a massive false sense of security. i used to be a boring dave. not no more.

I just want to take this opportunity to wish a very merry Christmas to all the level headed, kneejerk free, sensible posters in here.

The three of you know who you are :woot:

No seriously, have a good one everyone!

Thanks A&C and the same to you:D

All the best to all Spurs fans on here even the three I have blocked.:)

Admire your optimism but there’s no way we’re catching Utd.

I would be very happy to finish above Arsenal and Liverpool.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche speaking BT Sport: "The best side won on the day. They're a top class side - they did the basics. They showed us respect by showing they would have to earn the win.

The yellow card for Dele Alli - whether it could have been a red?

"It was a tough one - Dele Alli is out of control - he was never going to get the ball. Number of years ago that was just a big challenge, but it's a tough one today - an orange card.

"The penalty was a tough one but generally they get given. I think it was a penalty after Barnes was fouled.

"The one person I've not mentioned is Harry Kane - he's a fantastic player. He must be up there with one of the best strikers in the world.

"You lick your wounds today. They turned up and we didn't quite. Overall, I know where the club is at. We have to be really happy where the club is at."

It's like he's trying to be magnanimous but the moany git inside is fighting to get out

Massive result. Nice to see us capitalise on the weekend/Friday draws and catch back up. It’ll be a proper fight for 2-4 but getting our injured players back plus our mojo makes us as strong as anyone.

I know I have mentioned it a lot of late, but it's no surprise to me that we had a very good away performance as soon as we brought the press back. Burnley have only conceded 6 goals at home so far this season including the 3 today, which tells you just how good a result that was.
Was a great result, we definitely benefited from them missing Tarkowski. He has been immense for tha m this season.

Class performance against a very good side. Should have won it 5+ on chances. I know people will be slagging off Alli and Sissoko, but they were both very good (if missing end product today), and Son knows he could have been catching up with Harry too. Good signs.
