Whatever happened to our partnership with Roda JC
Allegedly their style of football didn't suit us. KWP went over on trial but was called back because they played hoof ball.

Reading the last few pages on youth integration...
Might be an idea for Poch to mix up his subs. If we're 2-0 up with 20 minutes to go rather than bringing on Dembele/Sissoko just to see out a game, he lets a youngster with something to prove a cameo.
Even Foyth who isn't an academy player could be integrated better if Poch gives him sub minutes.
But as with last season it's ususlly the same subs every game. Onomah and GKN were often unused subs even when we had games sewn up with half an hour to go. Didn't help their cause at all.
We have four senior full backs in the squad and two of them will most likely be seated the whole time. Feels like a waste.
Trippier won’t go in January, but possible in summer. KWP wants a loan, Poch wants him to stay, learn and fight. He believes he is not getting fair chances, and one of best trainers, always impressing. We have hinted we want to revisit his recent contract with a new one. He wants to wait and see.
Marcus very happy, but may want a loan. Poch does not believe it would do him good. He has 2 years after this, with option on another year. Poch speaks to him a lot, and Marcus is bulking up, and desperate to convince to even earn a bench place. You can understand his enthusiasm, and impatience a bit. He would not be human otherwise. He is very ambitious, and convinced in his own ability, without being cocky.

I know this was the story punted at the time, but it seemed a little hard to believe didn't it ? I mean, even if their style of football wasn't exactly ticky tacka, would we really just let the kid decide for himself that he didn't think their football was good enough for him? Surely we'd just ask him to go out there and give it 3-6 months ? Or why bother having some kind of allegiance with the club at all ?
Thanks for posting here. The Wimbledon game could be such a big one in terms of keeping the youngsters happy. I'd like to see a minimum of KWP and Foyth starting with three to four youngsters (including Edwards) on the bench. Something like this would be great:I have to admit this is a bit worrying
Bit more positive maybe a bench place against Wimbledon?
I dont think Onomah has a future here, hope I'm wrongIt's also entirely contradictory given that we've sent Josh Onomah to Steve Bruce's Villa.
Unless he played as a winger it wouldn't be a huge issue if KWP went to a long ball team, if anything he would have seen the ball moreI know this was the story punted at the time, but it seemed a little hard to believe didn't it ? Gazzaniga
Walker-Peters Foyth Sanchez Davies
Wanyama Winks
Sissoko Lamela Nkoudou
Llorente
Vorm, Kane, Eriksen, Dier, Edwards, Sterling, Skipp
That way you have adequate cover on the bench for the 'uh oh' scenario whilst also being able to bring on three youngsters if, as expected, we're well clear with half an hour to go.

I think so much will depend on what impact playing Swansea and West Ham in the space of 72 hours will have on the players and fitness. Poch likes to maintain momentum once he sees the ball rolling so this is probably the last chance for any youngsters to push for a place. Thanks for posting here. Tashan Oakley-Boothe
Club: Tottenham
Position: Midfielder
Age: 17
When Spurs travelled to Nicosia to face Apoel in the Champions League, young midfielder Tashan Oakley-Boothe was part of their injury hit squad.
As he ran out to warm up ahead of training the day before the game the waiting Spurs fans shouted a whole host of names in his direction in a bid to get his attention.
None of them were 'Tashan' or 'Oakley-Boothe' in an indication that he remained little known at the time.
That could all change in 2018. Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the 17 year-old, hence his first team involvement.
He trains and travels regularly with the first team and made his debut as a last-minute sub in the EFL Cup against Barnsley in September.
Familiar watchers believe he will not only make the grade with Spurs but England too with the 2022 World Cup squad a realistic long-term target.
A graceful central midfielder who is aggressive in how he presses and passes the ball, it is easy to see why he has caught Pochettino's eye.
He was a big miss for England's under-17s when a sickening head injury ruled him out of the final they eventually lost on penalties to Spain but he was back to help them win the World Cup in India in October.
Also at Spurs, look out for another midfielder, Oliver Skipp, 17, and a centre-back Jonathan Dinzeyi who some have likened to Ledley King.

After the successes of Harry Kane and Harry Winks, everyone wants to know who the next English talent to emerge from the Tottenham academy will be. Marcus Edwards, the brilliant little attacking midfielder, is well known, but the next one to emerge is likely to be Oliver Skipp.
He is a composed, intelligent holding midfielder who reads the game well and protects the back four. There is even a hope at Spurs that if he can add more physical power to his game he can be the long-term replacement for Victor Wanyama in the first team.
I’ve been thinking of what Hercules posted about KWP. If it’s true that he’s one of the best trainer and is always impressing and he doesn’t play games then doesn’t it go against Poch? Every time KWP has played for us this season he’s been impressive and if he also plays good in training then why doesn’t he get the chance especially now that Trippier’s form has dropped a bit? What does he have to do to get the chance? I just find it frustrating and weird
