We've got a lot more of the ball but struggling to create anything. Better team but lacking the edge ATM. Their goal was from a corner their RB scored an overhead kick from the bouncing ball

I think it's always best to wait for an explanation first in situations like this rather then everyone jumping to the conclusion the fits their opinion

If it's just that he couldn't be bothered to put a youth player on the bench then fair enough rip into him but until we know there could be a legit reason

Their U23 had a game yesterday but that shouldn’t be a excuse. They should know better

Paris looking really good today. When he plays like this the talent is so obvious, but it's in spurts tbf he's finding a lot more consistency.

Hinds and BLF looking typically composed, like the game is easy fur them

Josh Onomah on the bench again, what a shit loan. Marcus Edwards not on the match day squad. CCV starts for Ipswich

so proud of how walkes has turned himself into a very good professional. Think longterm he's premier league quality.

As I say the majority of our players could slot in and do a job at PL level. It's to what standard and what consistency that affects what level they ultimately play at.

Hope he ends up in PL, but I'd be surprised if he ends up as a PL CB. I think he's cope well but there are better CBs than him and I reckon he'd be Championship at best.

If he does end up in PL shows the benefits of loans, hope Tanganga gets out soon

If Edwards doesn’t get in squad next 2 matchdays do you think they’d recall him ?Seems pointless and we have some big youth games coming and a U23 relegation fight.

Is he any worse than Jake Livermore and James McClean?
Jake Livermore has developed in to being a good player at what he has done, imo he would never be there had he not been given a chance in our first team as his performances for the U21's or loans wouldn't have got him a good move afterwards

You can't recall a long term loan outside a transfer window.

Not quite sure why anyone would doh this. It’s pretty clear Poch likes a physical presence in his team. We regularly have 7 or 8 players over 6 ft in our starting xi. More than most teams in the PL. in fact most matchdays we have the tallest combined xi in the PL. I doubt this a coincidence. I don’t believe you’d ever see a Pochettino team as physically weak as Arsenal are. Does this influence his thinking on youth players not sure. But imo he definitely has a preference for physical beasts. His love for sissoko being the ultimate example of this.

Most prem players are big, I don’t yhink our starting 11 is esp tall, compared to most.

this thread on twitter is like some of the debates we have on here. would like to think poch would never pull the same stunt but if he did i'm sure some would be trying to justify it.

I don’t think he would, if we were that low on players they would bring them in, what if two collided in the warm up suddenly you only have 4 on the bench.
