What? They literally created no other chances than the two goals, and one was a lucky run of the ball. Is Mourinho such a genius he expect his team to have a 100% conversion rate?
They already had the goal they needed and then retreated back into a solid defensive shape out of possession knowing that all our play will be filtered through Eriksen centrally.

They didn't need to throw caution to the wind so yes, tactically second half Mourinho got it spot on and we created very little of note.

Jose would never come here. He moans about not getting backed enough in the market by United, for crying out loud.

True. Still think he’d achieve something with our current crop though. No, Mr nice, we play well, we love each other bollocks. He’d bring us a trophy with our current crop.

Youre asking me to compare the creativity of Modric and Demebele?
I’m asking how many goals or assists did Modric make? Not many is the answer. But he affected matches in a different way. It’s the same with Dembele. I’m not saying he’s in Luka’s class, before you get your panties in a twist.

Not for me. Yeah, he’s winning trophies by spending loads of money, but I hate watching his handbrake on football. It’s shite. If we stick to our principles of front foot football, and stay together as a club, the good times will come.

I hope you’re right but I just don’t see it. We had a better side than them today yet lost. Same old story. Big games come about, Tottenham lose. It’s a virtual guarantee in modern football.

It’s fine margins if Lukaku’s heavy touch rolls straight to Vorm, and they don’t create another meaningful chance, isn’t it?
If the fucking goalkeeper had stood up, he'd probably have saved it. Slight exaggeration but it was straight down the middle.

(And don't ask me what Trippier was doing giving Alexis so much space on the edge of our box.)

I have started watching the second half again and I can tell you this much-we were bereft of energy and ideas from the very beginning of it. It was not that we suffered a mental collapse after Utd went ahead.

Kane has rushed himself back to win the golden boot....end of.

I would even go as far to say if you ask him would he rather win the FA Cup or the Golden Boot he would take the later.
We've had players like that in the past. Berbatov is a perfect example. Kane isn't one of them though. Does he want to win the golden boot? Sure, why wouldn't he? What's wrong with that exactly? I want a striker who wants to win the golden boot.

Also, go back and watch The Battle of the Bridge. Watch Kane's reactions at the end of that match. That's a player that cares more about personal stats than winning trophies? Please. You're just flat wrong.

Remind me of the last goal he helped create (for Spurs).

I didn't say he creates goals. He creates spaces and carries the ball forward. You can have a look at our win against arsenal, Dembele bringing us back against Juventus and when we beat man utd last.

Have a look at Brighton game to see what happens when we don't have Dembele

Doing something worthwhile is hard sometimes. I know it hurts today, I feel fucking sick to the stomach, but we have to persevere.

It doesn’t help, that, to paraphrase Sean Connery, we’re often taking a knife to a gunfight.

Nah, it’s hard for us, that’s eight semi final defeats on the spin. I’m sick of it. I’d rather go out early doors! I fully expect us to lose any big game we have now. I mean truly big game too, not a league game to finish top 4 etc, I’m talking games that lead directly to trophies. 100% expect defeat every time

Rather not get that far and get my hopes stirring before reality kicks in

Im aware of his qualities, and certain games where his strength in possession is a massive help (Liverpool away springs to mind) but in other games such as todays and the City game his lack of any kind of creativity make us utterly predictable. Sure, there are other factors that aren’t helping (FBs in particular this year) but i just think the last few games have accentuated this issue,

But he is a problem right now considering he's been like a ghost for the past 3 games.
So if Kane doesn't score he's a ghost. Lukaku wasn't any better. I don't feel Kane is the problem. Pochettinho teams have always relied on wingbacks and what we saw from our was just perplexing.

The team were naive and struggled against a parked bus. Our fans, however, are embarrassing. When did our fanbase become diluted with so many absolute tits? This new generation of Spurs fan is making me long for the late 90s when we were shit but at least we supported the club through thick and thin.
