Trippiers interview on now, very proud of him. Held his hands up for their goal, and then was there to be counted and bury a penalty. Good man.

Don't get me wrong, a goal is a goal and Dier did keep his calm when taking his most important shoot so far in his career... but had Ospina gone "full out" like he did on Henderson's penalty (which actually was better placed than Dier's) he may have saved it - but it seem as if Ospina anticipated a pentaly in the middle of goal and thus waited before he dived.

His performance in this tournament and hearing him own up to his mistake that led to a goal, Trippier has to be the nailed on starter for us in the same regard that Kane, Eriksen, and Dele are.
