I hate pens but what a match. My friend and business partner who is Croatian is back in Croatia on vacation watching the match out in the town with his countrymen - having a lot more fun than me.

Luka Modric was amazing once again today, MOTM imo. He did everything, been the best midfielder in the tournament imo. Can only dream to have him back at Tottenham

Modric is Real Madrid's best player, he's been the reason why they've been dominating the CL.

Only intelligent football purists appreciate and understand how good he is. The most underrated player of his generation.

Pirlo gets more praise, yet isn't half as successful.

Did think he was great today tbh and looked knackered in extra time

@tiger666 what did you disagree with? That he was MOTM today, that he’s been the best midfielder this WC or that you don’t want him back at Tottenham?

couldnt have worked out better for England. Both Mandzukic and Vrsalko looked pretty banged up after that.

I could still see a France v Croatia final, but England have got a bloody chance.

I'd rate Kante and KDB above him.

In this WC? No way. Don’t get me wrong both of them has been very good especially Kante but Modric has been next level, he’s carrying Croatia right now. And Imo KDB started off the WC a bit slow

As a neutral, I’m glad it’s Croatia that goes through, as Croatia would provide a better spectacle in the SF than Russia would and there would be no home ground advantage for either team.

I feel better playing Croatia tbh, I just don't trust the Russians...they have the momentum and the crowd and they are more likely to turn up and play out their skins especially in Moscow.
