We already have a solid replacement. We just now need another CB

you're splitting hairs here - Sanchez was competition/potential replacement but I don't think anybody would be happy without another top CB when Toby leaves -- thinking the ones we're linked with De Ligt, Pavard, even Lascelles

Oh dear, one starts to suspect that Toby is rather weak off the field. Allowing his father and his wife to interfere is pretty telling in respect of his character. He needs to decide for himself what it is he really wants rather than be someone's puppet.

Well his father is his agent, therefore represents him and is his job to 'interfere'...

It's still his decision at the end of the day and he and/or his representatives behaving like numpties is rather disappointing.

Hopefully Poch will release another book in future with more deets about this whole escapade, coz all this Toby ITK is turning me into a gossip addict.

What ever was said it can never be as bad as what the Judas did. In fact it would have to be on that scale.

Oh ffs, everything's fine when A&C sexually degrades every man, woman and child, but one kitchen joke and 'oh no'!

Get a sense of humour. Or change your tampon

ITS ANOTHER JOKE

My only issue here is that no one has done much gay bashing on here recently, and god they deserve it.

So much for equality.

Whatever has happened all it would take would be for Toby to man up. Go into see Poch , apologise a nd hold out his hand and accept the contract on offer. if he truly wants to stay here and be part of Poch's project I hope that what he will do . If not more fool him and bye Bye.

You literally don’t have a clue what’s happened, so how can you say “what it would take”?

Depends what it is. There are things people can do as professionals that an apology will not fix. If he did something that willfully disregarded and disrespected the gaffer or purposefully undermined the success of the club, an apology would not cut it. The club, trying to sell him, wouldn't want such a thing to be too public as it would hurt his value.

ali z on toby (not) staying: No chance more to it than money, Poch is right on this from what I hear and I suspect if you knew the reasons behind it most of you would very quickly turn against hi, not trying to tease but can't reveal what I do know as it would be clear where it came from. No firm bid yet but hopefully and say that whilst ruing the fact he is so good.
There's a chance Levy could get beaten at his own game here. No takers yet, but gone for 25m next season and Poch seemingly won't want to use him. Reckon a club will try to lowball at 35/40m late on.

If it was the other way round, Levy would be licking his lips.

This really concerns me, especially if we had no time to replace him. Would put our whole first half of the season at risk if Toby was sold and Sanchez or Vertonghen got injured.

I suppose this is why we need to be so secretive. If stories got out that we were looking to offload then that could attract loads of clubs who would wait for the 11th hour 25m offer.

I do wonder what Poch's reaction to this will be when pressed? Will he say 'we want him to stay and we aren't trying to sell" or his "it's just rumours spiel"?
