Martial's position is looking untenable, surely Utd have to consider moving him to us? Guess they'll have loan takers at worst on the european market.

Mourinho is now being a dick. He’s got a new baby, what if there’s something wrong with the child and that’s the reason he’s not flying out there?

I think they’ll end up sellin him abroad now. Let’s just hope we don’t give them TA.

If we sell them Toby without getting Martial there will be pitchforkes.

Anthony Martial faces £180,000 Manchester United fine for failing to train since leaving pre-season tour in America

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/anthony-martial-set-fined-180000-13013627?122

"Martial left midway through the tour to attend the birth of his second child, but angered Mourinho by not rejoining the squad for the final two games.

The forward has not been back at United's training ground since the birth of his son a week ago, which has angered boss Jose Mourinho and led to Martial facing disciplinary action.

United do not believe Martial – who wants to quit the Reds – has trained for the past eight days since leaving the tour and are ready to hit him with a £180,000 fine – two weeks' wages."

He shouldn’t worry about the fine. He can claim statutory paternity pay so will only be £179,718.04 short over the two weeks.

He's definitely on his way out, it's just a question of whether or not Utd are willing to wait and try and offload him to PSG after our window shuts.

With the resources they have, they're one of the few clubs around who can afford to take that risk.

It never ceases to amaze me how clubs treat players like they are a chattel. They're people. If he wants to move, sell him and enjoy the money you'll get.

Do you promise you're not going to be the first to come out and say "let him rot in the reserves" if Toby (or anyone else for that matter) hands in a transfer request?

Has he put in a transfer request? if not then surely he should, i know he would loose out on his loyalty bonus but if he wants out that badly then it seems he will have to force the move.
If he puts in a transfer request but they don't sell by the end of the Prem window I guess he's left in the position of asking to leave and being forced to leave the premier league which means he doesn't get his wish to stay in the prem, as I understand he does, and that is what United wanted all along.

That is easy to say in our situation - we have a history of holding onto players for longer than they wanted to stay, Modric being a prime example. Perhaps Toby being one now as well.

Possibly another of the reasons Poch is moaning about the early window close.

Not strictly true, he was a first name on the team sheet player for us and we wouldn't sell him to Chelsea but promised him he could go the following year, in the end we done him a right favour.

The response from United fans regarding Martial's absence is hilarious.
To an extent they are right in saying he should be back in training etc. but at the same time, they'd be praising this behaviour if Toby was doing it to us in order to force a transfer.

They get treated like commodities, because they are. I am sure they will sell him, to the right club at the right price.

Martial isn’t improving his future prospects with this behaviour. He is either trying to engineer a transfer, foolish to do it like this IMO, or there are personal reasons. I don’t think too many suitors will be impressed with a player disappearing for 8 days without giving his club an explanation. It’s pretty unprofessional,

Have I missed something? Who says he hasn't given United an explanation? His wife has given birth.

He's just had a baby. I wouldn't believe a single word out of Mourinhos mouth, he could easily be pointing the finger at Martial so that if they sell him and he turns into a star he can say what else could I do the boy refused to train etc.

Jose is a weasel, he'd do that kind of thing to prevent another Salah or KDB situation in the future I'm sure
