Some people on here really need to grow up! Daniel Levy has taken this club from mid-table mediocrity to one of the top clubs in England.

We already have a young squad capable of challenging for silverware, many of whom are entering the prime years of their careers. We have the best striker in Europe, we have one of the best goalkeepers in the world. We have a manager who loves working with young players whom he can impart his ideas and ethics. We have the best stadium in the country, we have the best training ground in the country (even the England squad chose to train there).

So what if we didn't sign any players this window, i bet most fans of other clubs wish that their club was run as well as ours.

COYS

We're only club in Europe's top league not to sign a player. The only club since the prem began not to sign a player in the summer window.
Just writing it makes me proud

So........Given that you've had a lot of license given in this thread today, do we still need a thread to batter Marvin the Martian in?

This place is calmer with no signings than it would be with a sissoko. Leads me to believe that we all secretly know very little on the market other than Martial and Zaha could have improved us much.

This may have already been said (I haven't the time to scroll through 83 pages, sorry) but ... If we (sign nobody and) manage to retain Danny Rose, Moose, AND Toby, and crucially manage to keep them all focused on SPURS, then I can't imagine a better transfer window, tbh

... Sure, we could do with a more effective back-up striker, maybe a bit more creativity from midfield, IN AN IDEAL WORLD.

It's impossible to deny this is a shambles.

Fair enough if there weren't any marquee signings out there that fitted our needs/budget. But to not even sign one or two unproven/hopeful players is baffling.

What on earth have our scouts being doing all season?!

Fortunately been out all day. Playing golf in torrential rain seems to have been more fruitful than spending time checking this thread.

In the end I will be glad if we sign no one rather than panic buys. As others have said we have a top level team and in reality you will probably have to spend over £50m for the sort of players who might make us better. That or buy youngsters who look like they have the potential to be top players. We all know we are short in some areas but if we can't get the players we want then buying just anyone is really not a good idea.

Summer of 2003 - not since it began. Still that's quite some doing.

If Toby is revitalised and happy to stay, we don't sell Rose or Dembele, I'm happy with this.
Also happy if we do a last minute swap, Toby for Marty.
Happy R_1001001.

I just cant believe we couldn't find one attainable player in world football who would add something to our team. I really hope we start the season well and we don't get any injuries especially to central midfield or things could go a little sideways.
