Anyone who thinks Kane being this crap is some attempted tacital genius by both Poch and Southgate simultaneously, which they both continue insisting on despite it clearly not working, is being very optimistic. He's slow, he doesn't react to anything, and his touch has gone to shit. And a dodgy ankle isn't suddenly slowing his reactions - he's exhausted because Pochetinno has overplayed him and Levy hasn't brought in a proper backup.

Kane has been poor, we as Spurs fans know this isn't an isolated performance either, he's been struggling for a while, whether its a physical or psychological issue who knows. I'm not convinced by any English CB either, they may be very good at bringing the ball out but when it comes to the bread and butter of defending they're all sub par.

I really don’t like how deep Alli is playing for England. He’s becoming very ineffective and not that I care but other think he’s overrated because of it

The worrying thing is that Spurs don't seem to know either - or they do know and have figured there's nothing to be done about it.

Gomez has been terrible except for his forward passing.

If he needed a holiday he should have been given one before reporting back to the club after the world cup. Clubs shouldn't just wait until international weeks to give players a break.

I dont understand why as a club we didn't make the decision to give him more time off. Would it have ruined our season that much to give him another month? I suppose it might have helped if we bought in backup.

He's probably had more poor games than good games in an England shirt.

His performances for Spurs can be wildly inconsistent but his end product is exceptional so the stats mask his performances a bit. That doesn't work for England though - 3 goals in 30 caps.

Firstly because it's not pointless, it's a chance for England to win something for the first time in most of our lifetimes. But secondly, I'd put myself in Southgate's shoes here. Spurs haven't ever really rested Kane, haven't brought in a backup, didn't give him a break after the World Cup. Then they phone up, say he's knackered, and ask if I'll change my captain and my team to give him a rest - I'd be telling them where to stick it.
